While Robin wasn't exactly ready to drink herself into oblivion after the weekend, or anything -- it hadn't been that bad, though now there were other people who knew that she was RJ -- she was still wary when she wandered into the bar. Tino, after all, might have seen little-her when she was in bossing Adrian around.

Tino, however, was already busy at work stocking things and whistling, in an alarmingly good mood. Which just made Robin all the more suspicious.

Caritas was open, and the bartender was on her guard.

"I'm thirty," Robin said, and watch her admit that today and only today, as she got his drink. "And not seven. And therefore, I'm great. How're you?"

It was Ashley's twenty-fourth birthday and the first in memory that she hadn't spent celebrating with her mother. She hoped her mom was holding up okay today and wished she could somehow reassure her that she was fine.

But since she couldn't, she had called the few people she considered friends on the island and asked them if they'd meet up with her for drinks. Tesla had sent a rather generous gift, so she was willing to pick up the tab.

There was no way Hope was going to pass up something like a birthday celebration, especially not when it was that of one of her good friends.

"Hey, birthday girl," she said cheerfully.

"Hope! Thanks so much for coming," Ashley said with a smile. She was determined not to let anyone see how sad it was for her to be spending this day without her mom. "Drinks are on me tonight since I got a rather generous birthday present from a family friend."

"You shouldn't be spending your birthday money on us!" Hope said. "Plus if you do, that totally kills my idea for a birthday present." And yes, she did indeed pout a little at that.

Rose had gotten Ashley's message about birthday drinks, and, hey, it sounded like something fun. There was the side possibility that she was going cause it was a social event that Dimitri was going to, and that almost never happened, but it was mostly the birthday thing.

Still she'd dressed up a little - her awesome jeans and a cute vaguely boobquake top. Just because.

"Can I have a Coke please?" Rose asked. Then was surprised at herself for not getting an actual drink. What the hell.

"So far, so good," Ash said, grinning back. "I have a huge wad of birthday cash burning a hole in my pocket and now I have people to buy drinks for and celebrate with so it can't be bad, right?"

"Happy birthday," Dimitri said, smiling warmly at the birthday girl, "How are the festivities going?"

"Yeah, I pretty much slept all of yesterday," Robin agreed, sighing. "Holy crap, little me was a font of energy."
