Sunday Late Evening - Galactica Point
It had cooled off a little - a very little - from the day, and with the graduation festivities out of the way and tours of the island done, Lissa had admitted to wanting to hang out on the beach a little on her last day.
Rose wasn't sure about the whole beach at night thing, but it wasn't like the darkness was a problem, and it'd be fun to just hang out and talk with her friend and anyone else who wandered by. Probably not skinny dip though. The whole guardian thing plus the water being freezing made that a little difficult.
So after the daily visit to the feeder off-island and taking care of a few other things, Rose and Lissa (and the accompanying men in black) made their waydown to the beach. Rose built a bonfire, kinda surprised that those tips she'd picked up at the winter survival workshop a few months back actually worked so well, and both girls found spots on a blanket to listen to the waves. And talk. And roast marshmallows and eat the lunch they'd picked up. And talk. There was no danger of a shortage of talking.
[Yep, totally open. Just like the sky. And the water. And - no, that's just mean.]

She approached cautiously, hoping she wasn't interrupting, If anyone glared her off, she'd be polite and go.

And co-workers, and protect-ee, but 'friends' sounded more sociable.

Which was in no way Elena being curious about if Lissa knew about Rose and Dimitri. At all.

As sweet as the gig seemed, Yuri still couldn't help thinking how Belikov was completely wasted out here, training one novice. It gave him ideas.

"You know it, Belikov. Just taking in what little view we've got down here."

He found Fandom so odd, himself. Not in a manner that made him wish to leave, but just not what he would expect anyone from their world to really enjoy for a weekend trip.

Spotting Rose and the others had nearly made Karla turn around, but...she and Rose had seemed to come to an accord around Prom. They weren't friends, but they had proven they could at least be civil to one another. And the things Rose had written in her yearbook had been rather sweet. So rather than turn around, Karla gave a shy wave and smile instead.

"Hey Karla, come on over."
Look, she could be nice.

"Hi Rose," she said, joining the small group. "Congratulations. I almost felt sorry for that creature at the end there. Whoever that crazy lady was--" and Karla was not going to dignify her with the title of 'witch' "--I don't think she was expecting you."
