Geoffrey probably should be drinking his coffee at home, from his coffee pot, but he'd wanted something a little more fancy as he pawed through his scripts and tried to figure out how what he should do for the summer.

Sophie, on the other hand, was just wandering, with no clear intent in mind. And while she and Geoffrey were no longer at odds, she hadn't seen much of him since his return.

"Preparing for the next production?" She wandered over to the counter and ordered a mocha, then returned to his table, sipping it as she stood there. "Or reviewing impossibilities?"

"Reviewing possibilities," he told her absently as he put aside one, then another, and finally another.

"It's not if we can but if we should."

Which tallied rather nicely with Sophie's evening already, so she took a seat without asking, sipping her drink with an amused smile. "Tell me what's in the 'definitely not' pile, then."

"Mostly just the ones we've done," he admitted as he pointed to a very small pile.

Sophie smirked slightly, and tilted her head. "So. Summer is another tragedy, isn't it? Although so many of the seniors gone... that might be rough going, to get students to audition for that during camp-out time."

"I was actually considering doing something, I don't know... a little different. Perhaps a little more modern."

...gasp. BE AMAZED.

Sophie's eyes widened. "Glaciers are moving? The continental rift is drifting? Good lord. Are we getting within a century of the present, do you think?"

That got a very flat look.

"Just because I prefer the best doesn't mean I don't occasionally stray."

He started sifting again.

"You have to break up the filet mignon with a little hamburger every once in a while."

"Hamburger can be excellent," Sophie pointed out, still amused, fingers tapping on her cup. "Would you want it to be another tragedy, even if it's not the Bard?"

He looked up at her.

"No, actually, I was hoping for something a little more... amusing," which had him pawing through a slightly different pile of scripts and sipping at his coffee.

"Mmmmm. I look forward to your decision." Sophie checked her phone, and smiled slightly. "May I suggest a crime caper?"
