Jack had rescheduled his shift at the law office from Sunday to Thursday. He hoped that a weekday shift would make it less likely that he'd miss work because of delightful island pranks like turning him into someone completely different, with no idea he was supposed to be at work.
He showed up for his first shift, so thus far the clever plan was working.
Once he'd finished sorting through some of the filing Ms. Cabot had left for him, he ventured onto the Internet to do some research around laws governing vampires in different realities. Sebastien had left without committing to coming to London with him; Jack wanted to have some plans in place for all alternate possibilities.
The law office was open for anyone who needed it.
