Atlas Gym | Thursday Day

If Dimitri was speaking about it to anyone, he'd have to admit there was nothing very interesting about his tasks at the gym, other than when he was working out or when people stopped in for their own training. This day was no different, but rather than be bored, he set himself to the task of refitting the training dummies with an extra layer of padding in their chest cavity.

Rose could consider the enhanced dummies a special surprise for when she resumed her training. Thinking of Rose, Dimitri realized he'd not seen a certain feisty bobcat in quite a few hours. A glance toward the doors had him wondering for a fleeting moment what she was up to out there, but given the things he'd witnessed the bobcat doing over the last week, Dimitri felt he could be better off not knowing. So he resumed his task, humming along with the overhead music.

Clearly engineering dummies called for an 80s soundtrack.

Dimitri's wondering wouldn't have to continue much longer as there was a commotion at the door of the gym.

Possibly the commotion of a bobcat with something to show off but unable to open the door for herself. More than possibly, as Rose had her teeth sunk into the upper back of a large squawking pink flamingo.

With an incredibly smug 'mrow', the cat tried to push her way into the gym. She was bringing him a present.

The flamingo seemed to try to object, flapping its wings in an escape bid, but Rose shook her head, settling her teeth more firmly to secure that grip.

Many, many times! Really.

With a growl, the cat tried to dodge away, hampered in her efforts by the bird's flapping. Her prize! Hers!

There was an unhappy yowl as he grabbed her, and she hung onto the bird with all her might as she flailed against the grip.

Why couldn't he just like his present? She'd worked very, very hard to catch it and bring it to him. Hours of stalking and hunting.

She hissed at Dimitri for daring to pick her up like that and then realised her mistake as the bird fell free. No! Tasty treat and present all in one now falling away as her jaws closed on pink feathers.

Her mouth was full of feathers so it was a slightly ashamed but still pissy bobcat who looked up at Dimitri.

Mrrit? she replied, reaching out to try to paw at him. Without her claws cause claws near Dimitri's face would be terrible.

Shaking her head fiercely to get rid of the rest of the feathers, the bobcat made another hopeful noise, trying to look towards wherever the flamingo ended up.

She patted at his cheek again as she turned her big kitteny eyes back towards him. It was his present. Did he not understand that?

A rumbling purr started up. Possibly in hopes that if she was adorable, he'd either put her down or hold her without the dangling. He was a very tall person, and it was a long drop.

Her paws were hooked around his arm now because if he was going to hold onto her like that, she was going to make sure she stayed there, dammit. Rubbing her head against Dimitri's chest, she kept purring. Possibly in response to his question and possibly just because he was the one who gave pets.

The petting was very much appreciated as she accepted it as her due for bringing him such a present. Somehow in the cat brain, it had turned into that, yes.

She leaned forward as he showed her the dummies, clearly interested in sniffing at them, but not yet wanting to move far enough that the petting would stop. Clearly, she was such a ferocious cat. Really.

Oh please, like the bobcat wasn't going to reach out to try to scratch at the dummy. With the paw that was still a bit bloody from the flamingo fight, oh yes.

And then she gathered herself to try to leap onto the dummy, wanting to inspect it on a much more personal level.

The way she was digging her claws into the dummy to keep herself situated was probably a clue that she didn't realise that. Also the way she was now chewing on a bit of the padding that was still sticking out. While growling ferociously, of course.

Never forget this was a Crafty and Fierce Bobcat.

She hissed, snapping at his fingers playfully. If she wasn't allowed to chew on the dummy, was there an alternative offered? Cause really, it just seemed like he kept taking away her toys. Poor bobcat.
