The Arms Hotel, Friday
There was a lot of activity today as the Portalocity travelers checked out with the hope that they could reach their destinations. There was also luggage strewn all over the lobby, presumably belonging to the guests. In an effort to speed things up, Mary had sent Gunther to double-check the labels match the guests with their luggage.
But when Gunther started cursing in German and fled, Mary wasn't sure what had happened. She checked the suitcase he had been looking at, which was labeled WOLFGANG PUCK DOES IT BETTER. No wonder Gunther had flipped out. Mary was startled enough that she tripped over a duffel bag labeled ALCOHOLIC. While getting back to her feet, she noticed several steamer trunks nearby with ABUSE SURVIVOR, TROUBLE WITH RELATIONSHIPS, KILLED MY DAD and HE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIS HANDS TO HIMSELF. There was even a small train case with BODY ISSUES and two garment bags with ANOREXIC and YOUR RIBCAGE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO SHOW. They didn't look like they belonged to her, but they looked like they came as a matching set with the trunks.
She retreated to the front desk and refused to budge, except to push away the IN DENIAL carry-on so it wasn't blocking her chair.
