The Graveyard: Friday Evening

Once again it was Friday night and Gunn was out on patrol making sure that the dead stayed dead.

Sure there hadn't been a vampire invasion or any zombies attacking but you know the one time he skipped doing a patrol the whole damn island would get eaten.

Not a likely scenario, but that was Gunn's justification for doing yet another jaunt through the graveyard.

"At it again?" Bruce asked, making his way over to Gunn in the darkness.

"Yeah, let's just say I'm a man with a mission," Gunn said trying to sound light. "What's your excuse for running around a graveyard in the middle of the night?"

"It's as good a time as any to get some exercise," Bruce said. "Plus, there aren't too many people around, especially in the graveyard."

"What's abnormal about waiting for the dead to rise every Friday night?" Bruce said in an even tone. There was a chance it wasn't sarcastic at all.

"Well the whole undead thing usually isn't considered normal," Gunn said with a small chuckle. "Unless your world is just as fucked up as mine is."
