Site of the Community Center | All Day | June 14

The community center almost looked complete. The walls and roof were installed, the doors and windows had been put in over the weekend so now the brunt of the work was being done inside. There was painting, electrical work, tiling, carpeting, furniture moving, plumbing, and lighting on the schedule today. With the community center scheduled to open this Saturday, the NPC Construction Crew was working diligently to get it up to standard.

Hard hats and goggles were required today. Safety first!

This was the thing Jaina thought she had to do today! There seemed to be too much to do and she sort of felt guilty for only doing the morning shift today, which again, was a sign that she really needed the time off, when she felt guilty about leaving a volunteer project that had a real crew.

Hoshi was amazed to see how quickly the whole place was coming together. She tried to make herself useful by helping the guys working on the electrical system.

Hoshi went outside to enjoy her lunch: pasta salad with spinach, olives and mozzarella. And after last week, she brought plenty extra to share with her new friends on the construction crew.
