Madison had no classes today to occupy her time so she had decided to walk into town to explore a bit. She smiled when she spotted the flower shop and decided to stop in. It would be like a little piece of Three Rivers. Maybe she'd even buy a bouquet for her room.

"Hello," she said, giving the woman behind the counter a polite nod.

"Hello, sweetpea," Vida said, pleased to have a customer. "Welcome to my enchanting little floral shop. Can I help you?"

"I just wanted to look around a little," Madison said. "I used to work at a flower shop and I was missing having fresh flowers around."

"Did you now?" Vida said, suddenly very interested. "Are you looking for a job by chance, pumpkin? Most of my employees just graduated and I am finding myself with fewer floral minions."

Madison was taken a little by surprise at that. "Uh... I wasn't, but having one couldn't hurt."

"You've got experience, pumpkin, which automatically makes you a top candidate in my eyes," Vida said. "If you want a job, it's yours."

"I think I'd like that," Madison decided, taking in the cheerful atmosphere and deciding that this woman seemed like she would be nice to work for. "I'm Madison. Madison Avery."

"Oh, yes, names, how rude of me," Vida said, clutching her pearls. "I am Vida Boheme, and it is delightful to meet you, Madison."

"Nice to meet you too," Madison said with a smile. "Um... what kind of hours would you want me to work? I have classes every day except today. But they're all early morning except for Wednesdays."

At least she didn't need to sleep. Pre-Death she would have bitched up a storm about having so many early classes.

"Oh, I'm very flexible," Vida said with a wave of her hand. "Afternoons to early evening -- you could even have Thursdays if you wanted."

"Thursdays would be great," Madison said. "Give me something to do. And I could even do another afternoon if you wanted."

Not like she needed to spend time sleeping or eating and there was really only so much internet surfing one girl could manage.

"That's fabulous," Vida said, clapping her hands together. "It's usually very quiet here, and the flowers haven't come to life to try to devour the island. Well, there was the singing one day, but a distinct lack of aggression."
