J,GOB [July 9, Afternoon]
Hurley had a whole plan. He'd gotten out of Santa Rosa about two weeks ago, and discovered that the weird relative time thing meant he could still make Hoshi's birthday. He booked a portal, all ready for a surprise visit.
Of course, when he got here and called her and got no answer, that kinda sucked. When he checked the recent radion podcasts, well... that explained why there was no answer. Just his luck, really.
So Hurley sat in J,GOB, idly munching on a bear claw. He put out a few otherhandwavy calls to his friends, letting him know he was around today. That'd be cool. Just... not as cool as seeing Hoshi for the first time in months.
[ooc: Open post! If you think Hurley would have called you, he did.]

That so sucked.

Oh, what little he knew.
"But hey, I still get to see other people today, so that's cool."
no subject
"Hurley, it is good to see you," she said, gently setting Hoshi down on a table before moving to hug him.

He was doing his best to keep his attention on Raven, even if he kept getting distracted by giving little sad, lovelorn looks at the bird.

"It is all right to ask," Raven said gently. "But before I explain, I must tell you one thing that I do not think you know. I am half-demon, on my father's side."
After Trigon had made an appearance in Fandom, she'd given up trying to keep her heritage a secret, but she still didn't go around announcing it.
1 "Stupid Fandom."

"I'm really sorry, Raven."

She didn't have to be.
Ino offered him a smile. "Hey, you."

That was how he wanted to play it? Fine then.
"You're late," she said severely. Well, tried to. It was good to see him back. So she wasn't glaring too hard.

Because talking about his issues beat talking about hers.

And even if he'd learned to stop blaming himself, it still sucked to talk about.

"All right," Ino said. "I can see that sucking. Seriously sucking. But you're--alright, a bit? Not--hurt or nothing?"
Not just physically, no.

He gave a little smile. "And now I'm back to being out and normal and stuff."
no subject
"Normal is relative here," she pointed out. "But I'm glad you're feeling better."

"Zack and I went official."
That, at least, was good news.
