Sookie had slept poorly. She'd woken up early that morning after dreaming of Gran, of sitting in the kitchen beside her as she cooked, of the way she always smelled slightly like potting soil and kitchen soap. It wasn't a bad dream, but she woke up feeling wistful, and there was a slight tugging in her, drawing her out to the woods.

Regardless, she made her way to work, though today she made food that reminded her of her childhood and her grandmother.
