Galactcia Point, Saturday Afternoon.
It wasn't a bird, or a plane, but if anyone looked upwards today, they would see a rather large white mechanoid soaring through the clouds and performing complicated aerials, occasionally landing down at Galactcia Point so that his pilot could get out and just sit on his shoulder and chatter happily.
The mecha, for his part, wasn't answering aloud -- at least, nothing a human could hear -- but that didn't seem to bother his partner.

If she had vocal capabilities, she would have been letting out an impressed Whoooooa at...whatever that was in the sky, but, since she didn't, she was mostly just gaping when she wasn't feeling inspired for a few twirls herself.

They touched down gently, careful not to step on anything, and hatch lifted as she stepped out of her control frame. "He doesn't bite," she offered, standing on his shoulder. "If you want to come up and touch."

Yes, all one word. The other girl did not have to say another word. Ariel didn't even need to know what he was, all that mattered was that she got to touch him.
It was probably a good thing we was far too big to spirit away in her pocket. Ariel had never seen anything like him, and having watched him move in the sky and then see him up close...She dashed over and tapped a finger on him to see what kind of sound he made when she did it and then turned to the girl with a expression that danced, a waltz of envy and so cool!.

Another rumble and she grinned and shrugged. "And he's used to me talking for the both of us. I'm Anemone. He's TheEND."

Grinning easily, Ariel had to take a moment to go and bring her tapping to a full on tickling to see what kind of a response that got before going in for her pockets so she could introduce herself back. She extricated her phone and made a quick job of typing a message to show Anemone. Who, by the way, had the prettiest name she'd come across so far, if only because it made her think fondly of home.
"I'm Ariel!!! the little text field on her phone said. "It's nice to meet you both! I think he's amazing!"

She read the message quickly and nodded. "Hi, Ariel. Yeah, he is, isn't he? And he knows it, too."
Anemone leaned in and said in a stage-whisper; "He's a bit vain because of it. Don't let his ego put you off, he's a sweet boy."

Ariel giggled a little at that, shaking her head with her marvelling still in place, because she thought it was incredible enough to be cocky about it. In fact, she tended to like that more in a person. Or, in this case, a robot.
"Is he really made all of metal and stuff?" Ariel typed next, clearly fascinated by the idea. You'd never see anything like that under the sea. Mostly because, you know. Rust.

She took to her phone again.
"That's just so incredible. We don't have anything like this where I'm from. And you ride in him? AMAZING."

Anemone was a bit biased.
[SORRY! Horrible storms kept knocking out internet and sending us to the basement.]

"Can you do other really neat tricks with him?" she typed. "You two were really good up there!"

And then her jaw dropped a little, her eyes grew almost too large for her face, and her red head bobbed in a very clear indication of ohmygoshyesplease, almost like the one when asked if she would like to touch TheEND, but so much more.

So, clearly, yes, the floor or, should she need it, clinging to Anemone would be just fine. She could have had to hang out the back by her hair, and it would have been just fine.

Momoko may have been on her way to or from somewhere but that was neither here nor there and completely dismissed when she looked up and caught sight of a MECHA AT FANDOM!
She'd be over here, drooling and making grabby hands.
[How did I miss this? How? Sorry for the late ping!]

"Hey, Momoko! Want to meet my partner?"
no subject
"Hi hi! Yes!" Meet a mecha? There was a question? "Please!!"
Momoko was a bit too far in fangirl mode to say much else.

She cracked the cockpit in the back and clambered out to stand on his head. "Momoko, meet TheEND. TheEND, this is my friend Momoko. She really liked flying some of our LFOs during flight club one time."
no subject
Manic would probably fit, here.
There was no delay, as Momoko hopped onto the lowered hand. "Hello, TheEnd! It's very nice to meet you! Excuse me for intruding!" She grinned as she knelt on the palm and waited expectantly for whatever was coming next.
