Movie Sign Theater [Sunday afternoon]

"Not that I'm objecting or anything, but I have to ask why this movie? I mean, sure it's got some great swordfights. And that whole over the top evil bastard villain, and the accents..."

Jaime trailed off and looked over at the girl whose hand he was holding. "Okay, never mind, I totally see it now."

[Expecting the one, but open for any of your hot Latin swashbuckling film needs.]

"What?" Dinah asked, trying to look innocent. Then grinned. "I told you I like Antonio. And you said Catherine Zeta-Jones was hot too!" She squeezed his hand, gleeful that it was easier to do that now, and slurped on her drink. "Plus, Anthony Hopkins reminds me of Alfred."

"Hmmmmm," Dinah said, slewing a look sideways. "Should I invest in a mantilla?" She slouched down and popped a piece of popcorn in her mouth. "Plus, there's swords. I need to practice more, I've only gone twice this week to the salle."

Dinah poked him, snickering, as the screen went dark at the start of the movie. "Don't sound like Arthur! That's just weird for me." She offered him popcorn. "I met a nice new prince who I'm sure is really a pirate, and we had a good spar on Friday, though."

[identity profile] blondecanary.livejournal.com 2010-07-25 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"He could be a pirate," Dinah insisted, not sounding serious at all. "He swashbuckled a bit. And said he was learning to sing like one." She smirked, tilting her head onto his shoulder as Old California came up on the screen, and the story started with the older Desert Fox eluding the city guards by bouncing over rooftops. "...I miss New Gotham."

"Yes, and yes, and definitely," Dinah said instantly. Not at all motivated by anything on screen. Nope. "I can show you. Tomorrow morning. Well, any morning!" She sighed. "Before... yeah." Before she was back in New Gotham for good. "Anyway. Swords. But not jumping off rooftops onto horses with them. That would be ouchy." She paused. "Unless you could pull that off?"

The sapphire bracelet was firmly in place, or she would've asked that more specifically, mind-to-mind.

Dinah twined her fingers with his, and grinned at him in the light of the screen. "Well. I have to make sure your grip is right." She squeezed his hand. "Your stance. Hmmm." She stretched a little against him, trying not to giggle. "Show you how to block. Parry. Lunge."

Somewhere, Arthur was facepalming at the use she was putting his teachings to.

This could be So. Much. Fun. Dinah slurped on her drink again, wildly amused, and watched as Anthony Hopkins pulled a Count of Monte Cristo and got out of jail to see the evil alcalde.

And there was Antonio. "He's even scruffier than you are, right now. Look at that hair, jeeez."

[identity profile] blondecanary.livejournal.com 2010-07-25 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Him. Definitely him." Dinah snickered and turned her head to nuzzle his jawline. "I like the scruff. I like the clean-shaven too. But you don't look like a street person." She held out a bite of popcorn to him. "I'm not dying my hair black," she added randomly.

Just as well Dinah couldn't pick up on that thought through the bracelet, really. Dinah hmmm'd at his response, and settled down to watch the movie for a bit. Until she was hissing at the blond captain bad guy, and throwing popcorn at the screen. "He's good with a sword. But so, so evil."

[identity profile] blondecanary.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Point. But I wish he'd quit flirting with Catherine Zeta-Jones. It's annoying. And... hello."

Anthony Hopkins was making Antonio do push-ups without a shirt.

He was her officially her favorite British actor ever.

Dinah would be willing to overlook any lack of extra-definition for the "actually being in the same room", doing that. Seriously.

"What?" she echoed him, then tore her eyes away from the screen. She blinked, and then her brain caught up with his words. Finally.

Pout. "You wouldn't flirt with her in front of me, though. Right?"

[identity profile] blondecanary.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
"HHmmmmmm. Would you give me something else to stare at? Or do?" Dinah teased, leaning into him, shoulder-to-hip, and whispering, "I promise I'd reciprocate, if you wouldn't flirt with Catherine in front of me."

"Very very shiny... belly-button rings?" Dinah tried, snickering. "Body glitter?" She sighed at the nuzzling, contented, and tapped one foot against his, shedding her sandal before doing so.

Onscreen, Antonio had just gone through an increasingly ridiculous series of fights. "He's kind of like a 'toon, here." She tilted her head. "Uh-oh....Catherine, don't give him away!"
