Alexander had a job! The whole concept, if someone really thought about it, was very surreal, really, but despite how silly it might seem for a prince to be working for a wage, it thrilled him to no end. That's what happened when you were a prince who used to be a slave.

And it was such an interesting shop, at that! Alexander could not help being very fascinated by the collection of fascinating items that surrounded him, many of which he could not even identify. And as he sorted through this and that, he wondered if he should attempt to impress Harper by trying to update the items to make them even more appealing, or if he should simply leave that to the expert.

Considering it was just his first day, he was going to play it safe and not mess with anything quite yet. Instead, he was engaging himself with a little mechanical nightingale that he found intriguing.
