There was a new trailer for the upcoming season of Rumor Gal online.

Go ahead, guess what Raven was doing the minute she settled into work and opened up her laptop.

It was a subdued Aphrodite that eventually came down from the office. Her hands were stuffed deep in the pocket of her tight jeans, and she gave a hesitant smile to Raven.

"Hello, Lady Aphrodite," Raven said, giving her a smile. The smile turned to a frown, however. "You are troubled. What is wrong?"

'Dite shook her head as she went up to the counter. "I'm okay, just a little sad today." She put her chin in her hand. "Karla told me about what happened last week. In Louisiana."

"She was gravely injured," Raven said in confirmation, dropping her gaze. "But I was able to heal her."

"I know."'Dite nodded as she took a deep breath. "She told me. And-" The goddess reached out to take Raven's hand. "- I wanted to say thank you for that. Karla means a lot to me, and -- well, you all do -- and while part of me would like to yell at each of you for putting yourselves in that kind of danger . . . I know I can't. So . . . Just . . . thank you. For taking care of her." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "For bringing her back."

"She means a great deal to me, too," Raven said softly. "I would not let her go, not when it was in my power to bring her back."

"I know." 'Dite nodded. "Your gift is . . . amazing. A treasure. And I have never been more grateful for you as a healer or as a friend." She squeezed the hand she was still holding. "Thank you."

Then she let go, heading for the door.

"You are very welcome," Raven said, pleased with the praise. She had to wonder if 'Dite could sense her own affection for Karla.

The goddess could, but it wasn't something she was sure Raven was aware of. She did give a brief smile as she turned back for just a moment to wave at Raven. A thought crossed her mind and she held her gaze on the girl for just a moment. Part of Karla's court, hm?

She resolved to take a closer look another time, then left the store, only the hint of a smile on her face.
