The Park [Tuesday evening]

Triela still hadn't manage to get up the energy to reclaim her weapons from Rosalind. In fact, she was feeling positively dreadful. Dizzy. With a terrible headache.

She stumbled slightly over... nothing. Maybe she shouldn't have worn the heels today. Because clearly they were to blame for... everything. She should... sit down for a quick break. There wasn't anything convenient nearby so she just took a seat on the grass.

In a couple of minutes she'd be just fine. That's all she needed.

[Open if you want to deal with a very woozy cyborg assassin. And you know you do.]

Scully was jogging through the park, working out a plan to possibly start training for a marathon. Giving it five months, she ought to be ready by her birthday for something long-term... and she hated that she was planning that far ahead, now.

She stopped when she saw Triela, and caught her breath, studying the other girl with concern. "Triela?" She'd refrain from asking are you okay? until Triela actually looked up.

"Triela." Not good. Scully sat down next to her, and reached for her wrist to take her pulse, watching the girl's face with mounting concern. "Can you hear me?"

[identity profile] showmetheproof.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Scully immediately put her hands up in a 'no threat' posture. "It's just me." From the very brief touch she'd managed, Triela's pulse was far to fast, as well as thready, and her skin had been even colder than usual. "You don't look well," she said carefully. "How are you feeling?"

[identity profile] showmetheproof.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
She'd said enough of those kind of 'fines' herself for Scully to recognize them automatically. No wonder Mulder had found it maddening.

"You seemed distracted when I got here. Thinking hard?" Then, more carefully, "Your pulse rate is too fast."

"You're not okay," Scully said, skipping the pretense for diagnosis. "You should be at the Clinic. Or lying down."

[identity profile] showmetheproof.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
The worry was ramping up now. "Has this happened before? Are you having other symptoms?"

"You're my friend." Not a close one, more of a casual friend, but still. "And I don't like seeing anyone sick when I can help. I am --" A doctor. No, damnit. "--trained for this, you know." And just as stubborn as Triela. "You're sick. And why couldn't the Clinic help?"

Momoko was cutting through the park when she saw a very very strange sight indeed: Triela sitting in the grass. In heels.

"Triela? Hi!" Momoko flopped herself to the ground near her friend. "Is everything okay? I don't usually see you in the park just sitting."
heromaniac: (wooo?)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-08-18 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Triela?" Momoko's voice grew more concerned than curious; Triela usually at least made some sort of gesture of recognition, even if she wasn't in the best of moods!

Momoko moved closer and leaned around to better see the other girl's face. "Hey? Triela? What's the matter? Oh, you don't look so good!"
heromaniac: (huh what)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-08-18 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
"I just got here. Are you okay? You're acting strange." Well, she was responding now, which made Momoko feel relieved.

Then of course Momoko had a really bad thought: "Ah! You know who I am, right?"
heromaniac: (huh what)

So totally transparent. But at least she hadn't lost her memory or anything!

"No, you're not. Don't lie to your friends. What's wrong? What happened?"
heromaniac: (big eyes)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-08-18 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Something's happened or you're sick or something, but you're not fine. You didn't notice when I sat down with you; you always notice stuff like that. You look horrible, and you're not acting right."

Momoko moved so that she was sitting and facing her friend, then pulled a small mirror from her pocket to show Triela how bad she did indeed look. "I'll totally carry you to the clinic if you need, you know!"

Momoko pulled the mirror back and fiddled with it. "If you know what you look like, then you know what's wrong and you're just not telling me."

It may not have sounded like it, but that was totally a question.
