It was effing hot, and just lounging around with a glass of scotch wasn't cutting it today. So Chuck decided to lounge around with a glass of scotch and ice cream. The two totally mixed together. And he was being nice today, as evidenced by the fact that he got Tino one of those Mario ice cream bars.

He already ate the gumdrop nose off of it before giving it to Tino, but whatever. It was the thought that counts.

Running out of beer was easy to manage when you lived in the apartments right by the bar. Not as easy when Chuck was working, but John was willing to suck it up and deal. "Alcoholic ice cream? Count me in."

"Not used to sharing, huh?" John asked, taking a seat.

"Not with you," he said. "You're lucky I'm willing to give you alcohol."

"You're lucky I'm a paying customer tonight," John replied. "Maybe I'll come back again when there's no one here. That was fun."

"You're lucky I don't kick you out of here," Chuck said, though the threat definitely lost something considering he went for a spoonful of ice cream after saying it. "I take it you're still sticking with cheap beer?"

"Hey, it's not my fault they don't account for how good it tastes in the price," John replied, not at all worried about Chuck giving him the boot.

Chuck rolled his eyes but put down his ice cream to get John's beer. "You can drink cheap beer in your apartment, you know."

Chuck didn't even notice, too busy trying to find what would be the cheapest beer possible. "Ooooor maybe you just like stalking me."

Chuck turned to give John his beer and bitchfaced when he noticed the ice cream thievery. "Hey!"

"This is really good!" John told him, sucking the ice cream off the spoon.

"Yeah, no shit, that's why I got it," Chuck said, practically slamming down the beer on the bar. "I know how much you love having your mouth on my things, but let's keep it away from my ice cream, okay?"

John shrugged, sliding the bowl back toward Chuck. "So testy. Geez, relax, you make it sound like the world's gonna end."

"And here I thought that was why you liked me." He was a jackass who was full of himself, apparently. But there was beer and snark here, his mood couldn't be bad.
