Dite's Decadent Delights
An influx of new students meant that someone, somewhere was going to be confused by the nature of 'Dite's store. And as hilarious as that usually was to deal with, Karla was feeling generous enough to clear up that misunderstanding before it started.
In the window, there was another sign:
Most of the delights we sell are not edible.
If you're looking for a candy store, keep on walking.
There, that should help.

Talk to Karla
Re: Talk to Karla
She paused at the door, making sure she had her emotions in check because Karla would know if it were otherwise, then stepped inside. "Hello, Karla," she said softly.
Re: Talk to Karla
"Raven!" she exclaimed. "Are you all right? What happened?" She was already over the counter and heading for the door, just managing to bite back a, 'You look awful!'
Re: Talk to Karla
There, that was nice and clear.
Re: Talk to Karla
"Come in, come in," Karla said, throwing her arm around Raven's shoulders and shepherding her inside. "We got some new sinfully good hot chocolate or something in the inventory. Why don't I brew us up some of that and you can tell me what happened that got you so overwrought. Are you sure you're feeling better now?"
Re: Talk to Karla
"I am much better," she said again. "Crying seemed to help. It was cathartic, though it gave me a headache. And hiccups."

"Are we anywhere remotely near your lunch break?"
Guess who was peering through the door, Karla!
Re: Talk to Karla
"It depends," she answered, pretending reluctance. "I'm really busy playing with the pricing gun, but if there's a delicious lunch in the offing, I might be persuaded to take some time."
Re: Talk to Karla
Okay, the face he made was probably more silly than thoughtful, but it was the thought that counted.
"Well, I wouldn't want to interrupt quality pricing-gun time," he decided. "Not for the sake of a platter of a fairly decent hors d'oeuvres. But if you do decide that you're up for a temporary pause in your playing, we'll be right over here."
By the door. Warren, and the pineapple in whatever interpretation of the word she preferred.
Re: Talk to Karla
Karla looked from Warren in the doorway to the pricing gun and back. "When you put it that way..."
The gun was vanished, the counter hopped, and for once Karla was going to ignore delicious food in favor of giving her boyfriend a kiss. "Mmm, two different kinds of pineapple? The pricing gun didn't stand a chance."
Re: Talk to Karla
The answer? None. Ever. Until now.
Re: Talk to Karla
And since she was Karla and delicious food could be ignored for only so long, she began greedily reaching for one of the pineapple chunks on the platter. "Oooh, those look good. Have you given thought to a future career as a pineapple-deliverymale? Exclusive clientele, perhaps, but I hear the benefits are amazing."

Which meant the first thing he said upon entry, before even seeing Karla, was "I was told there would be candy."
Jackass.
Re: Talk to Karla
Which meant there was a penis-shaped lollipop being launched at Peter's head with Craft.
"We aim to please," Karla deadpanned.
Re: Talk to Karla
"You know, now I'm glad I didn't come in with the line about looking for power tools," Peter remarked. He smiled, though. If it had been most anyone else, though, he might have taken offense to the violence.
Re: Talk to Karla
"You really don't want to seen what I would have tossed if you had," Karla said, snickering. "We have some things in back that just might count."
Re: Talk to Karla
He also really wasn't expecting it.
"I just made a mental note never to go in that back room," Peter declared.
He paused. "You know, I would've thought there might be laws against minors working in a place like this."

Tread carefully, Peter...
