Stark Indu- errr, Fixer-Uppers [Wednesday]
Good Lord, that sign was... attention-grabbing. It was about the kindest thing William could think of to describe it, really.
Thanks to several hours spent learning to navigate YouTube and finding a helpful tutorial on the matter, he'd managed to replace the battery on Miss Darlington's iPod over the weekend, but that didn't mean he was out of things to keep himself busy. Today, his attention was divided between taking notes on the case he was working on for Mr. Holmes, and taking apart the flash drive he'd been given. He was disappointed to see the latter had even fewer moving parts than the iPod had.
[around for a couple hours in the morning, and then back after work chews me up & spits me out around 6 Pacific.]

He let that word lie there for a second. "There's machinery underneath this island, William. It keeps us caught between one dimension and the next. Occasionally it likes to let something seep through. It all comes down to the basic law of whimsy; as soon as you accept that as a scientific fact, everything else will seem a lot easier. Cause and affect are still at work here."
