The Gig: Thursday [9-30-10]

There were unicorns. At The Gig. Mingling with the horses and following Helen around and telling her all sorts of complimentary things. About her hair and her outfit and all number of things that Helen wasn't really sure how to respond to.

And for some reason, the corral was full of rainbows.

"I have never seen so many rainbows," James muttered to himself as he walked through The Gig looking for Helen.

He was ignoring the unicorns to the best of his ability.

"Hello, The Gig!" he called out.

James moved to the sound of Helen's voice and saw...

He was growing slightly sick of seeing so many unicorns. "I see they found you too," he said with a lopsided smile.

[occ: no problem!]

"They seem...very chipper."

More chipper than what he was used to.

A pained expression flitted across his face as he remembered. "I hoped that was a magician's failed prank. I would rather deal with the unicorns."

"How has your week been?" he asked, leaning against a hay bale. "Aside from...the unusual?" Like whiny onions and happy unicorns.

"Many people do like working with horses," he teased.

[identity profile] squire-hand.livejournal.com 2010-10-05 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"An affinity for hay? Sunlight? Oats?" He matched her delivery perfectly.

"Back to the horses?" he asked, eyes twinkling, the rest of his face impassive.

"They are useful," he admitted, his mouth struggling to stay scowling.

"Just the horses?" he asked, his eyes wandering over his face before he returned his gaze back to the horses. Totally Ignoring Helen. Really.

"Well, your Thursdays involve the horses, so that must be what you're talking about."

He could play the innocent, too.

[identity profile] squire-hand.livejournal.com 2010-10-08 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Unless you have something else on Thursdays. Hrm..." He tapped his chin as if thinking.

He met her halfway. "Yes we are," he said, with a slight grin. "I think we like it that way."

[identity profile] squire-hand.livejournal.com 2010-10-12 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
He grinned wider. "Shall we keep up our Thursday appointments, then?" he suggested.

"That's an interesting idea," he mused. "What do you have in mind?"

[identity profile] squire-hand.livejournal.com 2010-10-15 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
He kissed her back. "I like this idea," he murmured.
