The sky was still overcast, the tents were still up, the food was still flowing and the guests were still being welcomed with open arms. Or maybe they were being welcomed with glares and huffy sighs. One thing or another, the guests were here and the people of Fandom couldn't really hide from the outside world anymore!

With a falsely modest laugh, Piggy put on her name tag. "Haha, how quaint! As if moi would need this to be recognized."

Kermit and Rowlf would have rolled their eyes if they could.

Mrs. Frederic hummed softly under her breath when she saw the nametag, then picked it up and slipped in into the pocket of her blazer.

Morton eyed the name tag thoughtfully. He was trying to figure out how, precisely, putting the thing on was going to wind up embarrassing him. After a minute or so he couldn't find an answer, so he sighed and affixed the thing to his shirt.

Which didn't mean he didn't fully expect to be embarrassed by this somehow.

Seriously, nametags? Rodney believed anyone important should already know who he was and everyone else, well, duh, unimportant. He was just fine heading for the buffet line without a sticker slapped to his chest, thanks.

There was a table. A table with things on it. Nobby had always been fairly attracted to tables with things on them, and so when he approached this one, he tapped his fingers together for a moment. He checked to his left. He checked to his right. He checked in front of him. And, seeing the coast clear, he reached out, took the thing with his name on it, and shoved it into his pocket, and planned to spend the rest of the day looking quite proud of the feat.

Scott found his nametag at the table after taking a quick look around. It wasn't exactly the Xavier school - there were too many people and not enough of them were blue proportionately - but it didn't seem to be Bayville High either on first glance. Maybe it wasn't too bad a place for Kitty to end up. But he wasn't going to draw a final conclusion on that yet....

Tinny was glad to be visiting her Uncle Jake. Okay, so she was really more excited to be visiting the states. It was nice to get away from annoying family members. And Des.

No way was she putting a name tag on, though.

It took perhaps a bit of doing, but the somewhat diminutive figure in the very tasteful leather skirt finally managed to locate her nametag, taking a moment to be somewhat thankful that her last name hadn't found its way on there.

Cheery, she could live with. Humans tended to get a bit... funny about the 'Littlebottom' part.

Kaoru looked about a bit then shifted her bag on her back and headed off in the direction of people, grumbling. "I still don't know why I had to be the only one to come to this stupid thing. Stupid Miyako and her dumb fashion show."

She pasted on a smile, though, for the strangers at the registration table. She found her name tag and asked for directions to the closest bit of food. "If she's anywhere," Kaoru reasoned, "that Momoko is probably eating."

Once again Hobson had insisted on doing his butlery duty, getting food and drink for T'ing, then picking out a bowl and pouring a bit of half and half into it for himself.

"Not exactly cream as I'm used to." he said with a shrug, "But in this day and age, one makes do."

Piggy's plate was piled with a somewhat ridiculous amount of food. But it could have been higher. She always watched what she ate when out in public. Just in case the paparazzo were about.

"Now this is how you treat guests!" Rodney approved of the school or town or whatever this place was just based on how they rolled out the buffet. He could see why Sheppard kept coming back. "Ooh, are those turkey legs?"

John would understand if Rodney didn't seek him out right away!

Puck was hanging out by the food, of course. He'd, stupidly, thought Santana had been kidding when she'd said she was coming to visit and bringing Brittany, or else he would have been safely tucked away in his room, trying to convince people to cover and tell her he'd died or something. Or at least, sending out texts to every girl he knew to hide, and do the same.

Sadly he had no idea.

Kaoru had no plate of food. Sure it all looked good, but she was more interested in finding Momoko than in eating. She had been sure that she'd find her at the tables of free food, but no luck so far.

Wolfboy and his friends were looking around with undisguised interest at everything. Sure they were looking for Leda, but they were also looking at the school, the town, and the people.

Wolfboy jotted something down on his notepad for the others;

Mrs. Frederic wasn't really the "mingling" sort, but it seemed like a good idea to get some sense of the people Claudia was surrounded by at the school.

She found a spot out of the main flow of traffic and settled back to observe.

The knowledge that his father was coming for the weekend had Nico more anticipatory than he would have been if he'd just worried he'd be the only kid with no one. Despite his desperation for his father to like his school and his friends, Nico felt certain things were going to go terribly wrong.

Probably because most of the time he hung out with demigods and a demigod lookalike. Nico shifted between bouncing on the balls of his feet and spinning his ring as he waited to see just how his father would appear.
