The Arms Hotel Lobby, Friday [10/1]

Sure, things were a little hectic at the front desk, but that didn't bother Mary, who was all bouncy with excitement. It had been way too long since she had seen one of her best friends and she was still amazed that Sam had volunteered to come to a town without a casino.

"I'm giving you an extra copy of the room assignment list," she said to one of the NPC desk clerks. "Think you can handle check-ins while I go find my friend? I'm sure Gunther will help you out."

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Miss Piggy, star of stage and screen swept into the lobby as if she were accompanied by an entourage.

And if one frog and a dog who had been bullied into taking care of her bags as well as their own counted, then she was.

"Hello," she said sweetly, "I believe you have a reservation for me?"

Before Piggy could answer, Rowlf did so for her. "Yes if there's any bell hops you're mad at."

Before Miss Piggy could properly react to Rowlf's gibe, Kermit placed himself between the two.

"Oh Piggy just believes in being prepared." he said. "Do you also have a reservation for Kermit the Frog?" If she didn't, Scooter was gonna have some 'splainin' to do.

"Yes please that'd be good." Kermit nodded. He was glad Piggy had so far missed the fact that he'd set things up that she and he were not sharing a room.

"Thanks very much. The place looks great as usual by the way."

Because a felt pig clearly wasn't enough, now Mary might notice a crab scuttling across the lobby of the hotel and then knocking a claw against the desk to call her attention. He cleared his throat.

"Salutations," he said, pulling himself in a dignified matter and speaking very stately, though with a thick Jamaican accent. "I am Sebastian, Royal Court Composer for King Triton of Atlantica. I believe you may have some fine accommodations prepared for me?"

Let's not go into that, shall we? Sebastian had to overcome many vivid nightmares just to make it here today.

Sebastian considered the woman's words, and he nodded, figuring that the extra convenience was a nice gesture, though he would only expect such nice treatment, being a king's royal composer and all.

"Yes," he said loftily, "yes, that will do verah well indeed. I trust you have someone to take my bags?"

His itty, bitty sea-shell bags.

"Thank you, madam," said Sebastian with a little crab bow, his little legs clicking against the floor as he followed the bellhop.

He might not be so gracious once he saw his room, but that was certainly none of Mary's fault.

Wolfboy and his friends arrived looking a little road weary. But in good spirits none the less. While Sparks got the key to their room, and argued whether or not they needed to pay a pet deposit for the extra hairy guest, Wolfboy helped Micky off with her hat.

While Valanice was checking them in, Rosella was mostly distracted with scoping out the place, but not nearly enough to miss one little detail that cropped up when she heard the man explain their rooming situation.

"MO-THER!" she immediately complained in dismay. "The Bridal Suite? What are you trying to say, huh?"

"Oh, nothing, dear," said Valanice, smiling beatifically at her daughter. "I just thought, you know, perhaps if you should happen to feel inspired..."

"Inspired! Mother!" Rosella could only throw up her arms in frustration. "A hotel room is not going to change my mind about wanting to get married!"

"Perhaps not," Valanice allowed, "but it did seem like a rather lovely room, all the same, and you'll likely find it more comfortable than you'd expect if you'd just open your mind up to the idea, Rosella."

"It's a room, Mother," Rosella reminded her with an annoyed edge. "And let me remind you that we are here to see Alexander, not to get on my case about my marital reluctance!"
