The Perk, Saturday Morning
Adrienne was here. The rumor-mill said that Adrienne was here.
Emma felt like her heart and stomach had both been removed, she couldn't breathe. Clearly, she needed caffeine to process this.
Besides, the Portalocity offices didn't open for another hour, so she couldn't book something to her New York to hide for the rest of the weekend. Yet. And if Emma was lucky, Adrienne would stick to her usual routine of sleeping to noon.
Therefore, coffee, and then a battle-plan. And then Emma could deal with the rest of the day.
[OOC: Open Perk is open, and up ridiculously early for SP issues today.]

And then he spotted Emma.
She didn't look exactly... good.
"My lady."

He just had to check in on her every so often. It was his duty.

"And, I suppose, while I'm here, maybe I was hoping to see you."
Smoooooth, Morton.

Besides, she needed a caffeine dose if she was going to walk around and have inane chats with people all day. Hmmm. Maybe if she claimed she was still on Tokyo time, she could get some alcohol in her coffee, too. Okay, not really. That was more Mother and Christian's method of coping and Adrienne wasn't anything like them. She was the strong Frost.
More importantly, she was an observant Frost. Which meant she hadn't even made it to the door before she noticed Emma through the window. My, oh, my, what a lucky find today. And it didn't look like she was paying attention to anything other than the barista getting her coffee.
"Darling, are you sure you want that?" Adrienne asked, purring into Emma's ears. "It might wake the voices up, too. Or are you lonely this morning and need the company."

"Go fuck yourself, Adrienne," Emma replied pleasantly. "If I was prone to imagining things, I'm sure I could come with something more pleasant than your voice in my ear."

She gave her order to the barista, then turned to give Emma a charming smile. It had about all the warmth you'd expect from a woman named Frost.
"And why fuck myself, darling? I met a charming little bit yesterday at the picnic, Alex Karev? Well, charming if you like them trashy--which it seems you do, little sister."

"I'm going to tell you once, Adrienne. Stay away from my friends."

Please. She'd been a model. Sears was a dirty word.

And so Peter, being Peter, strode straight past Emma, and ordered a coffee, and then turned and glanced, speculatively, past all the people in general area. Lingering maybe a moment more on the blonde.
He was a little irrationally terrified he was going to wind up attacked by one of Ender's or Val's friends. Which was stupid, considering who he was.

Emma had given him a bare speculative glance as he had entered, but looked up again when she sensed his gaze upon her, meeting his eyes firmly.
Bits of thought skittered across her mind, projected in his frustration. Fragments of Val and Ender, and now Emma was tempted to abandon her soothing soothing coffee and find her long-delinquent friend.
Instead she inclined her head just slightly to the new arrival, curious to see what he'd do.

Now that she did, though, Peter opened his mouth, then shut it again. Right. He composed himself.
Might as well see if there were any connections worth making here, right? He greeted her with a gesture, raising his coffee to her. Now let's see what she did.

He was still a Wiggin.

But now that the whole "This Is Your Future Life!" thing was done (Well, Scott hoped it was done...), he could get some coffee and just focus on seeing what kind of place it... Oh, wait, hot blonde girl that he presumably didn't have any children with. Well, there went that plan.
"Excuse me," Scott said, approaching Emma.

"Great, don't tell me precious little Jeanie is back in town. Or are you the one belonging to Bobby, or to Warren?"
Sorry, Scott, Emma had to deal with too many of you last year at this time.

And then, because he had to check, "...We're not related, are we?"
