The Arms Hotel Lobby, Saturday [10/2]
Mary was feeling pretty tired today. Apparently Sam did not sleep, and while it was fun to stay up all night talking, Mary needed her sleep. She also really needed her coffee, but she couldn't figure out what happened to the coffee maker that used to be at the front desk.
She was just about to head into the kitchen to ask Gunther if he had seen the coffee maker when she heard a crash. Moments later, Sebastian came scuttling out of the kitchen and headed back towards his room, with Gunther right behind him, rolling pin in hand.
"No!" screamed Mary. "No trying to cook guests, Gunther! In fact, just to be safe, no cooking meat or seafood for the rest of the weekend. We're going vegetarian."
As Gunther protested, Mary heard a familiar giggle from behind her. "Nice to see some things don't change. Hey Gunther, it's good to see you again!" said Sam, looking very amused as she hugged Gunther, then led him back to the kitchen. "You know, I've really been craving that awesome salad you used to make. Think you can help me out?"
With the crisis over, Mary headed back to the front desk, still lacking coffee but feeling luck that she had a friend who could actually sweet-talk Gunther into behaving.

Price walked up to Mary, letting Soap stay back for the moment.
"How are you today, Mary?" he asked, his tone a little grim.

Soap, for his part, coughed a little, embarrassed.
"I'm glad to hear you're not unwell. But I do have some unfortunate news to share. Well, partially unfortunate I suppose."

And that reminded her of who she had in the kitchen with Gunther. "While you're here, you really should meet my friend Sam. I could go grab her if you can wait for just a moment."

Sam opened her mouth, as if she was going to say hello, but then she froze in place as she stared at Price.

Soap walked up and gave a little wave.
"Well, there we are, all introduced," Price said.

Eventually Sam recovered from her shock and spoke up. "Uh, nice to meet you. Have you, um, ever been to Las Vegas?" she asked, staring at Price.

Mary was even more confused. "I'm sorry. She's normally a bit more talkative. I've never seen her act like that before, except when her ex-husband showed up unexpectedly."
Re: Talk To Mary [10/2]
"She looked like she'd seen a ghost," Soap remarked.

But his words were cut off with a sharp, surprisingly high pitched shriek as he caught a glimmer of light that looked like it might be a cleaver and he scampered off before that madman could even have another stab at him.
