There were sugar snap peas in the planters, now; Lacey hadn't planned on those, but she'd stopped in over the weekend to pay the vegetables some compliments and distinctly recalled the phrase 'aww, that's sweet' coming up more than once. Maybe the unicorns had done the same a few days ago?

It actually made sense to her as a rationale now, and she'd just roll merrily on along without questioning that any further, thank you very much.
