Fixer-Uppers [Wednesday]

William was, generally speaking, no worse for the wear despite his 'adventure' yesterday. It had made him keenly aware of one very important fact, though: he did not legally exist in this time, and that presented certain... problems.

Not that he expected to be arrested again anytime soon, but the fact that he'd not possessed any sort of identification nor existed in any 'database' had only served to heighten their suspicions. Then, too, he'd realised his lack of paperwork would have made it extremely easy for someone to silence him should they feel so inclined.

Therefore, the creation of some sort of paper-trail was in order. So today, in between poking curiously at various mechanical parts about the shop, William's time was spent making notes on how best to go about this, as well as who to ask for assistance in such an endeavour.

Fixer-Uppers was open!

Ender came into the store in the afternoon, holding a box and wearing a vague smile on his face. "Hey," he called, as soon as he was properly in the shop.

"I haven't developed any flaws in my memory yet," Ender agreed, as he set the box on down, "But I don't want to talk it up. How are you, William?"

"Back in the day, Chuck Bass could generally settle problems like that," he said, opening up the box. "Since he's not here any more, though, I'm sure there's someone else poised to fill the fake ID gap, if you need one."

Ender gave him a nod. "This should give you all you need to get started," he said, changing the topic, and shoved the box in his general direction. "Try not to blow it up. I think even Rikku would frown on that."

"I do, in fact," Ender said, giving him a genuine little smile. "If I'd thought you were an actual explosive risk, I wouldn't have warned you up front. Or hired you."

"Good," Ender said, without missing a beat. "I'd hate to wind up in a situation where something has to be deliberately blown up without someone to do it for me."

He wasn't actually joking, was the thing.
