Fast Eddies, Monday after classes
Bruce got to Fast Eddies a little early to get a good feel for the pool tables. Was that cheating when he was going to play somebody who hadn't played much before? Of course not. It was good strategy, plain and simple.
But he also wanted to make sure that there was a good amount of noise in the place to cover the sound of any 'sensitive' subjects that might come up. It was the price of having a relatively normal conversation between two nosy but secretive people.
[OOC: Bruce is here for Ino, but Fast Eddies is open for all of your bowling or pool needs.]

If she hadn't promised to talk a bit, and if he hadn't promised to talk a bit, Ino would've returned the favour and inflicted what Professor Devereaux was calling 'Fluffy' upon Bruce for the evening, just to see his reaction."
As it was, she slipped in exactly on time and exactly herself and paused for a moment to consider the venue.
She was... probably going to lose miserably, but it was loud enough that it wouldn't be a total loss.
"Yo," she said, slipping up to stand beside him nonchalantly. "Been waitin' long?"

"A while ago," Ino chirped. "Wanna give me a refresher?"
That she didn't, entirely, need but shhh.

"Any questions?"

Which hurt to think of, in a way, and yet--a reminder.

Yeah, Ino didn't believe that herself.

"Want to break?" he asked, gesturing to the table.

As she carefully took sight and aim and--there. Game started.
Not a bad shot, though nothing spectacular either.

unnamed per canonarts together, but his real focus was making sure his students had senses of dignity, honor, humility, and inner strength," Bruce said. "That's what helped me more than anything, and it's not something you get from your standard strip mall karate school."no subject

"Fightin' straight on ain't my strongest point," she said slowly, "but I'm more than capable of defendin' myself long enough to either turn the situation into somethin' that uses my specialties or getting away."
There were many many ways to 'win' in her head after all. Getting away from someone trying to kill you totally counted.

"Looking at me," she said, "what would you say I'm most suited for?"

It was a completely truthful answer that may have sounded a bit like a brush-off.

"Can't have much of a social life in that case," she noted, not entirely certain she believed it, but adding it to her mental folder about him anyway.

By which he meant that he didn't sleep much.

[I need to crash for the night zomg. SP is shiny?]

[Sure! FYI, I'll be afk most of tomorrow night, but I'll do what I can during the day, too.]
no subject
Only really really not.
[Thanks for the heads up! That's totally fine with me! Night!]

Bruce's definition of 'reasonably measured' for himself was, of course, pretty loose.
[OOC: Sorry, was out even later than anticipated.]
