Holiday Grove, Saturday Afternoon

Digging through the discount rack of costumes, Maladicta was more than just a bit concerned to find so many so called 'vampire' costumes.

They only seemed to be a bit lacking in material. Maybe they couldn't afford to cover everything up?

She was just going to slowly move over toward the male costume section, thank you.

That should have been where Faramir was heading, only curiosity had kept him hovering near said vampire costumes.

"Is this really what vampires wear?" he asked. It was a bit... airy.

"Not unless they've managed to rip every item of clothing they has," Maladicta replied, making a face at them.

"It would explain your preference for pants," he reasoned, shaking his head as he moved towards the next rack. "All these are rather silly."

"I'm beginning to think that's about the point of the holiday."

"And yet you wish to find a costume?" Faramir still did not quite comprehend what this was about.

He did however stare at another outfit (http://images.halloweencostumes.com/adult-hercules-costume.jpg). "That does not look as if it will offer much protection in battle."

"Is that the plastic?" she asked, frowning at it as well.

He reached out a hand to feel it. "It would appear so. At the very least it is not leather," he told her. "I suppose it would not count if I merely dressed as a ranger would?"

Like he did most days.

"No, you would need to dress as something you're not," Maladicta replied. "Which is why I will avoid those so-called vampire costumes."

"And not because they are unfitting?" he asked. Honestly, most on the women's side seemed to be all along the same lines.

"It is hard to know what one would like to dress up as when they hardly make sense." Like that one (http://images.halloweencostumes.com/deluxe-adult-bamm-bamm.jpg). It seemed fitting for an orc.

"I'm sure something will catch your eye." Like... was that a warrior (http://l3.zassets.com/images/z/1/3/5/1355447-p-DETAILED.jpg) costume? Oooo!

"It would seem something caught yours," Faramir noted with amusement. "I am guessing it is not a dress?"

Maladicta held it up to herself, smiling quickly. "It looks Klatchian. I've never worn anything Klatchian before."

Possibly for good reason.

"And I would not know what Klatchian is," he replied, considering the outfit. "It looks better than the other armour."

He still did not think it would be of much good in battle, however.

"And it comes with fake daggers!" Oh yeah, that was totally a plus.

...look, someone enjoyed looking like a soldier.

Faramir laughed at her response. "I could offer you real ones," he told her, not quite getting the point of fake daggers. "Not that you would have need for them. Does that mean that you are decided?"

"I believe I have," Maladicta replied, lifting her chin as if to regain a bit of that dignity lost there.

She had not lost any dignity in his eyes at least, and his smile was both amused and fond.

"Perhaps you should try it on then, to make certain it fits," he suggested.

"If you try one as well." Oh snap, Faramir. Oh snap.

"That would seem why I am here," he pointed out. "I will continue looking for something that suits me while you change. And no, it shall not be dress."

Maladicta sighed and reached for the nearest costume (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41TE6dVtRrL._SY445_.jpg) on the rack. "There, be a watchman."

"A watchman?" he asked, accepting the costume automatically. He squinted down at the letters on its chest. "Police. They are like city guards?"

"I'd think so." Hey, the only 'watchmen' she'd ever met were Sergeant Angua and those people from Ankh-Morpork. "And it's not trying to be armor," she added.

"It has plastic," Faramir pointed out. "Why would one want to wear plastic?"

"Most of the clothing here is," she pointed out. "From what I gather, it is called polyester and is cheap."

"Cheap," he repeated, looking unsure at the costume. "Then I shall ask where they keep the more expensive clothes."

Perhaps the second son of Denethor did have some vanity after all.
