Tuesday Evening, Around the Park

Blossom had a hand to the wall as she stared along it to where the town park used to be.

"I walked all over the island yesterday and this wasn't here; it was still the park. And now it totally looks like it's been walled up the whole time!" She turned to face Robin... the other Robin (and hadn't that been an interesting surprise on the other end of the phone line). "It's like it's grow here or something. But it's stone! And there doesn't seem to be any sort of reason for the places that get walled up."

At least none that she could see. But maybe Robin could?

Jason wished like hell that he could figure out what was going on, but standing up against the wall wasn't helping at all. "It certainly doesn't seem organic," he said. "But you can't build something like this overnight unless...maybe we're dealing with magic? But why take over the park? You're right, there's no reason for that." And no one around to beat an answer out of, alas.

"It totally seems like magic." Which meant it was totally out of her league. "I was thinking of trying to get inside and see if the others are stuck in the maze. But now that it's even bigger, I'm not sure."

"That would be a good idea if we could guarantee we can get back out again," Jason said, feeling a little out of his league himself. The island had a way of always managing that. "The others have to be in there though. Where else could they be, right?"

Blossom grinned at him. "I'd totally say they could be in a warehouse, but those were walled away yesterday. The walls are all over the island."

"I don't know about a guarantee," she stepped back and stared at the wall. "But I think I could fly us out if we needed to escape?"

Jason's first instinct was to shake his head at the idea of Blossom trying to fly both of them, but then he remembered that she was a lot stronger than she looked. As awkward as it had been to answer the phone when she'd obviously been looking for someone else, he was glad to be out here with someone even more useful than himself. "Okay, if you think you're up for it, I'm in."

Well, Blossom had been expecting Red Robin on the other end of the bat phone, since that was the number she'd dialed. It wasn't her fault she hadn't recognized this Robin's phone voice; they'd only met the once. At least she'd apologized for calling him a phone thief?

"Oh, I'm totally up for it! Perfect health! No injuries!" She struck a hero pose and grinned. "I haven't even gone patrolling since I was in New Gotham for Thanksgiving. Should we look for an entrance or just jump the wall here?"

"I think if there was an entrance, someone else would have found it by now," Jason said. The people of Fandom weren't stupid, he had learned that really well by now. "So, I'd say jump and make our own entrance."

She held out her hand to him. "Shall we, then?" She knew he could jump and probably had those grappling things, but she was totally willing to just fly them up and over.

"And we should probably be ready in case there's something on the other side. The radio keeps talking about goblins, but I don't know where they are coming from." Or what goblins even were, but no need to add that part.

Yeah, Jason was used to flying by grappling gun, but a new experience was welcome in this instance. "I'm always ready to fight," he said with a smirk. "I can't say I've ever fought goblins, but I'm sure we'll be able to defend ourselves if we have to."

"Of course! And I'll even let you your pick, if we have to fight anyone. Since you were nice enough to come with me!" Blossom grinned, taking them into the air and over the wall in quick order.

She landed them lightly on the path. "Looks like it's not just walls that grew here!" Blossom tapped her foot on the stones. She'd totally been expecting grass! They were at the park, after all.

Jason stared as he looked around, taking everything in. "Wow. It's like the park is just gone," he said. "But how...this is definitely something powerful. I didn't think it'd be quite so bad."

"And it all looks old, like it's been here for a while," Blossom gave a tug at a vine running the length of the wall, dislodging it with a frowny sigh. "I totally need to learn more about fighting against magic. I don't think this is going to be anything I can defeat with my powers."

She squared her shoulders and looked up. "But that doesn't mean I'm not going to try! We can at least see if we can rescue people lost in this, right?"
