Dite's Decadent Delights, Monday Afternoon

The twinkly lights at work made Karla that much more eager for the holidays. As did getting Sookie's email in her inbox. Using the ipod she'd gotten from Dinah, Karla turned on some Christmas carols and began trying to sing along, which mostly resulted in a lot of 'something something's' and 'lalalalala's.'

Though that one carol with a bunch of Fa-la-la-la's? She had that one down.

Looking around for something Christmassy to do at the store, Karla caught sight of a few items in back that made her decide to make a nativity scene, just like she'd seen on the teevee recently. It was a brilliant plan! What could possibly go wrong?!

Karla often had 'brilliant plans.' Very rarely did she actually have second thoughts, and, even more rarely did she listen to them. But as she was gathering up the requisite items for her sex toy nativity, that often-ignored little voice in the back of her head asked her if this was really as clever an idea as she'd originally assumed. Was it possible, just possible that this might even be Not Appropriate?

After a few moments of consideration, Karla started putting things away, having decided the holiday lights and the display she'd set up last month were festive enough.

[Links are VERY NSFW. They may also be offensive to people of faith, which is why I advise caution before clicking. There's a reason Karla had these mythical second thoughts, after all.]

Cloud had grown to be Very Wise, and so he pretended not to hear the singing. Mostly because he didn't understand a thing, and felt like he should.

"Hey", called as he entered. "Still around?"

He wasn't about to frown due to her good mood, of course. "Am I talking to some handy illusion prepared for Karla, then? Like an answering machine with snarky answers?"

He could play, too.

"I've seen that movie." He made it sound as quite the big deal. "You call it Winsol back home?" He couldn't relate it to anything he knew. "And it's good to know it's you, because it would be too weird to talk with a sassy answering machine." Another thing for the list of weird things he was happy to avoid.

"Big celebration awaiting you?"

"Sounds like a good place to spend the holidays." Yes, baked goods were a key ingredient in a good Christmas party.

"Thirteen days?" Forgive him while he just stared in disbelief. "That's quite a party..." Like quite a party. "And you give gifts every day too?" What? It was worth asking.
