Karla was a little distracted today. Just a smidgen. Really.

Ignore that this was her fourth attempt at doing inventory this shift. Just a little distracted really!

It's just that tonight was going to be the most important night of her life up to this point and she was just a little stressed out about it because even if it wasn't the night that could make or break her as a witch, it was still her initiation into sex with not one but two people and oh Darkness why had she thought this was a good idea?

And this was why Karla was going to keep attempting to do inventory for the New Year. She needed something to focus on to keep her from going crazy.

"Hey", said, managing to notice her apparently tense mood. "Everything alright?"

"Huh?" Karla looked up from her list where she had three different numbers written down next to the same item. "Oh! Cloud! I didn't...yeah, everything's fine. Just a bit...distracted?"

She'd been calling Portalocity regularly at thirty minute intervals because she couldn't remember if she'd booked her portal properly. Distracted was a good word for it.

Karla wrinkled her nose at the inventory list in her hands. "Nothing important," she said, setting it aside. "Not anything I was actually succeeding with, anyway."
