Pixie Dust, Wednesday [1/5]

One of Shelley's resolutions for the new year was to be a better employee, which in addition to making sure she was up to date on all the trends, included occasionally picking up a broom and sweeping the store. "Hello, Mr. Dust Bunny," she said to the fur ball forming on the floor. "I'm sorry to say I'm going to have to ask you to leave the premises."

She swept the pile into a dustpan and dropped it in the trash. "Don't worry, I'll be sending some friends along for the journey," she said reassuringly and turned to go sweep up another section of the store.

Pixie Dust is opened for business!

Against her better judgment, Charlie had gone and found the so called Pixie Dust store. The blonde on the counter didn't look like much, but after meeting Jono...yeah, she would be careful here.

"I need clothes." Charlie could do careful, but subtle? Not really.

She was just going to sigh and try not to make her head explode. Focusing on that would actually help her not to snap. "I was thinking jeans and t-shirts. A couple of pairs of shoes, and underwear. Nothing too fancy; I'm not precisely wealthy."

"Yep, just fell to the island." In a very literal way, also. "...Do you now?" Suspicious, but she wasn't complaining, really. "How huge are these discounts?", asked as she picked up a jean and inspected it.

Charlie felt like she didn't even need to take advantage of this one; she was pretty much offering her all she needed there! It was certainly a change on the way she did things. "Sweaters, right. I usually do well in the cold. Not my element, though." Not at all. She was making a nice pile of clothes, most of them of neutral colors, by the way. Nothing too bright or too dark, as it was easier to stand out that way.

Always the paranoiac, she was.

"Not...precisely, but I know how to stay warm." It was perhaps the little of her usual ability to know things, but she was quite sure Shelley wasn't in the crowd of the powered islanders; better to keep her away from it.

She was too busy trying not to laugh anyway. "It could be an issue, if you are wearing a thin bra."

She had been in the island for four days, almost, and had seen all sorts of weird people and things already, and she had shrugged off most of them, considering she was rather open minded when it came to see others as freaks.

This was her oddest experience in Fandom so far. This-- being a girl, and talking about the woman's fake boobs, she was completely out of her element.

"They certainly look good on you...?" What was she supposed to say? Looking down at herself, she had to deviate her eyes; no time to start wondering about size and what-not.

"So, clothes."

The worst part? She couldn't say no, actually. "But just that one, and I think this will do for now." She was officialy broke now, yay.

Good God, what had she gotten herself into?

"Charlie, I sort of work on the music store on Fridays, I guess. I usually just paint my nails black to cover the, err, damage." She liked to bite them, after all.
