Fast Eddie's, Friday Afternoon
After her morning class, Kate had found herself dealing with a case of restlessness. She'd considered heading down to the gym, but somehow she felt this called for getting out of the dorms. That meant she ended up just wandering around town for a good while before finally ducking into Fast Eddie's. She figured some time on the dancing games would be just what the doctor ordered.
And since some of the other games felt a little less pointless if you were competing with someone, she called Bobby to invite him to join her (since she'd been in class when he'd taken off, and she hadn't noticed yet), and then after a moment did the same for Puck. She figured he might be good with arcade games, and they hadn't talked in ages, anyway.
Of course, she had no idea the messages didn't reach the people they were meant to, not even after getting a few random messages. She just thought some people in this town were weirdos, end of story.
And she had Dance Dance Revolution highscores to try and beat.
... Well, in between occasionally checking her phone only to find some new messages that started to make her think she wouldn't be surprised if no one showed up to meet her. She could only wonder which unlucky people her own voicemails had ended up with.
[ooc: Open place in town is open, whether you're just a random person or someone who was invited by accident!]

He browsed the games, pausing to see what looked good. Okay, so his version of pausing was a lot like unashamed staring at other people's screens. Kate's seemed interesting, if not his style.

"Oh, hey." She sounded a little bit out of breath; someone may have been going a little overboard.

Basically, she'd traded it for the glamorous world of debt-collecting, but that wasn't one of her proudest moments.

Which, okay, hadn't been so bad those times when she'd had a boyfriend to pamper her.

"You didn't go hungry for long, did you? I mean, people found you and it wasn't horrible? Do you remember what it was like being a cat? Could you understand others?" Ahh, rapid-fire questions that changed as quickly as his attention span.

"Yeah, it was still me in there, just all cat-shaped," she said. "I would never let people just let me go without food. Though I'm a little fuzzy on what it was like, because I kinda tend to end up just going with the whole cat thing by day two. But turning back is weird because for a while I have these memories that don't match my body. It's kinda disorienting."
Was she talking about it like she was expecting it to happen again? Yes, yes she was.
