James appeared around closing time, stamping his feet and rubbing his hands a bit to get the feeling back in them. He had a lumpy sack slung across his shoulder, and a small smile on his face. "Hello, The Gig!" he called out.
"Look," he said, after a moment. "I have an estate in Haverford, I believe. I've never been there. If...when you graduate and do not have a place to travel, you can travel there for a spell."
"Sight unseen, I truly cannot tell you if it's a castle or a shack. Things have been a bit busy the past few years," he said dryly, "and my travels have not been for leisure. Should you need a place, it will be there."
"Thank you," she said softly, truly touched. "I don't know yet where I will go or what I will do, but to know I have a place where I am welcome... that means a great deal."

And don't think she's forgotten the large sack.
