Arms Hotel Lobby, Thursday [12/13]
When Ellie wasn't answering phones or taking care of other hotel business, she was studying for a physiology quiz. Gunther grumbled something about her slacking at work. She ignored him. Otherwise, she might have literally thrown her textbook at him for being annoying.

"I have... a date. I think." They hadn't said it in so many words, but-- "Maybe?"

That last one was the most important question.

"We didn't actually say the word date..." he admitted, gesturing for no apparent reason as he talked. "But when a girl you've kissed a couple times asks you out for pizza, that's probably a date, right?"

She couldn't help smiling. "Ariel is nice. I can see why you would like her."
That was Ellie's way of showing approval. Not that he needed it or anything.

"She is," he agreed. "Really nice." The girl threw him a birthday party, despite not really knowing him well, she humoured him building blanket forts, and liked Cheeto pizza.
Okay, the last one wasn't so much a testament for niceness, as it was for awesome. But whatever.
"Uh... but I've never done dates. Or even date. Singular." Which meant the chances of this actually going well? Slim to none.

Though it was just a lighthearted joke, it implied that she was always a little over protective.
