Things had been calm in Fandom for a few weeks now. That meant Cable was doing the exact opposite of sitting still; he was ordering in more weapons. The likelihood of the island getting hit again increased with every day they came closer to summer, after all. It was only good practice to make sure they were stocked.
A side matter involved Jan, and the new BB gun he'd ordered her. Her motor skills wouldn't be quite up to par to learn to shoot in any real sense just yet, but it did mean it was becoming time to start teaching her the first few rules about gun safety.
... In other words, yes, that was a giant, half-metal man looking very serious as he lectured a three-and-a-half-year-old child on how to hold and fire a water gun properly.
Incidentally, the HELP WANTED sign was also up on the door.
