Wellspring Arms & Meditation Centre, Wednesday
It probably looked like she wasn't doing anything as she sat in Cable-san's chair with her eyes closed.
That, however, was wrong.
Meditation was the goal for today and, after her class, it became a game to see how far in she could reach in herself. Which, admittedly, wasn't the same as finding out how far she could go on someone else.
But Ino doubted she'd get a volunteer to let her try that on the island.

Talk to Ino
Re: Talk to Ino
Re: Talk to Ino
Ino's eyes blinked open before he reached the counter.
"Centurion."
And her voice was--careful. That was a purposeful stride, she thought.
Re: Talk to Ino
"How have you been?" And wasn't that a loaded question. Intentionally so, in fact.
Re: Talk to Ino
That was improvement! Of course, he also hadn't attacked her yet…
That smile of his made her dubious.
The question made her stiffen up. He knew more about how she was than most people on the island, after all. "I'm fine," she said, eyes wide and guileless. "I've been keeping busy, thinking of seeing if Kappa Delta Gremlin will take members who're late to sign up. Need to bug Jono about the band."
Apparently she was picking 'avoidance' as her route for the moment.
Re: Talk to Ino
Max considered that.
"Do you remember me suggesting that you talk to someone?" he asked after a couple of seconds.
Re: Talk to Ino
"Maybe."
That was a 'yes' in reluctant teenager speak.
Re: Talk to Ino
Though, given how Ino looked, that wasn't a surprise. She didn't look like a girl who was talking through her problems. At least not to someone who knew as much as Max did about the situation.
Re: Talk to Ino
Erm.
"Ish...?" she tried, feeling like a kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
Ish, it should be noted, wasn't really a word.
Re: Talk to Ino
Max eyed Ino doubtfully.
Still, might as well get down to business. "I still think you should. And I have someone in mind for the job."
Re: Talk to Ino
She'd gotten a new job! She'd changed worlds! She was repressing everything!
She was Totally Fine!
Re: Talk to Ino
Besides, she was managing somewhat. Not enough, from his perspective, but she wasn't nearly as ragged as she had been.

Re: Talk to Ino
She'd brought lunch.
Re: Talk to Ino
"Hey you," she replied, stretching as she gave the other girl a look over. "What's up?"
Re: Talk to Ino
Re: Talk to Ino
"Considerin' you're bringing me lunch," she observed, "being picky would be absolutely rude. I'm totally okay with burgers. Come sit down."
Re: Talk to Ino
"So..." Triela sucked at small talk.
"What's up?"
Re: Talk to Ino
"Did I tell you?" she said lightly, "That I've got a new pet?"
Sure, she could do small talk. It was easy.
Re: Talk to Ino
Triela leaned forward in a posture that kind of, sort of looked like interest. If you squinted. "You didn't."
Re: Talk to Ino
That much, at least, she could. Even if Triela was probably going to make her laugh at some point.
Re: Talk to Ino
Re: Talk to Ino
"Not a cat," she said cheerfully, reaching for one of the burgers. "Try again."
