Fast Eddie's | Evening | Tuesday | March 8

There was absolutely nothing wrong with liking bowling. Nathan would argue that to his grave with anyone that tried to oppose him. Bowling was a sport which meant exercise but it was exercise that gave you access to drinks and food. Therefore, it was the perfect fucking sport.

Nathan really didn't care that he wasn't a great bowler. Sometimes it was just nice to throw a big fucking ball down at some pins like you had some super physical strength or something. And, in between shots, he could go eat the nachos on the table behind his lanes and check to make sure his phone hadn't been swiped by some bloke with greasy hands. Look, he was a little wary of that one getting ruined too. It was worth more than his fucking life (and maybe he was hoping for a call from his mum about this weekend; he'd gotten nothing yet).

Stepping up to the lanes, Nathan gave the ball a little lick (it was like a good luck gesture) and gave it a toss down the line. Ten pins up, seven down and Nathan was calling that a victory. That meant more nachos before taking his next shot.

[And yes, open here! I'm just entertaining myself and it's cold.]

After a chat with Bod in the graveyard, Caroline couldn't resist seeing what Nathan was up to, which might explain why she was sitting at his table, eating his nachos and going through his phone.

Don't worry, she left the stupid peppers for him.

"What can I say? I'm magical," Caroline replied, not at all bothered by his finally noticing her presence. It wasn't like him looking meant she should stop messing with his things, right?

"Also I was in town and you're a lot louder than you think you are when you talk to yourself." And you know, super hearing and stuff.

"I'll get you more," she promised, taking another bite and smiling up at him. "I see you've been putting some of your idle time to good use. Oh, and bowling, which I don't think counts as good or useful." But only because she sucked at it.

Caroline's nose crinkled at the sight of those shoes so close to the food and the idea of burping and dancing combined. "Gross. Take them, my appetite has died tragically at the sight and smell of those rented shoes. And then promise me you won't do all those things at once."

"Please, that game is pointless," she said. "What do I care if the blocks make a row? Bor-ring!" Caroline dropped his phone back onto the table, finished with her nosing around for the time being.

Caroline eyed him, wondering what nefarious plan he had all worked out in that head of his. Still, she pulled her phone from her pocket and started to hold it out to him. "I guess...if you promise to solemnly swear not to send anything to any of my friends, so help you God. And by God, I mean that part of you that likes living through the night."

Caroline nearly choked on the bullshit of that statement. "You mean you're too brutally honest for your own good," she corrected. "The thing is, my friends don't need brutal honesty. They need carefully crafted pieces of truth."

"Unlike some people, I don't keep the numbers of one-night stands in my phone," Caroline said, handing the device over and praying Nathan didn't lose his mind at the number of male names in there. Was it her fault she was popular back home?

[identity profile] puppywithatutu.livejournal.com 2011-03-09 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Trust me, you don't want to know a lot of them," Caroline shared. "Becoming a vampire has made me kind of aware of the difference between friends and acquaintances."

[identity profile] puppywithatutu.livejournal.com 2011-03-09 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
"And here I'd been focusing on not fucking them," Caroline replied dryly, watching him with a keen interest. The control freak within was dying to know exactly what names were getting what reaction from him. And to know what the hell he planned to do.

Caroline made a face at him, slouching back in her seat and kicking her feet up onto another chair. "There's plenty of interesting people. Who do you wanna know about?" Those with the highest number of messages and calls were likely her closest circle of friends, regardless of who knew what about her and vice versa. "Should I assume male names?"

[identity profile] puppywithatutu.livejournal.com 2011-03-09 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
Caroline thought she'd talked kind of a lot about Stefan, Damon, Tyler, and Matt, though she might not have always attached names to the tales.

Still, she didn't know if Nathan would get jealous to know she was still friends with guys she'd slept with. Or guys she'd wanted to sleep with, oops? "So pick a name and I'll give you the juicy details. Just remember you asked."

"You're such a liar," Caroline said, shaking her head at him in slight amusement. But oh, did she have good dirt to share. Not that it mattered since it wasn't like Nathan knew to care.

"Tyler Lockwood. Now that is a good choice. He's the former mayor's son. Former because his dad died in this super tragic fire during the this big town Founder's Day celebration. He was actually the one driving that night when we got in that car accident that nearly killed me." Sad memory, that.

"But Tyler is like, a big time football player, wrestler, jock guy. Really nasty temper but quick to burn out. I'm sure you'd like him." Right.
