Fast Eddie's | Evening | Tuesday | March 8
There was absolutely nothing wrong with liking bowling. Nathan would argue that to his grave with anyone that tried to oppose him. Bowling was a sport which meant exercise but it was exercise that gave you access to drinks and food. Therefore, it was the perfect fucking sport.
Nathan really didn't care that he wasn't a great bowler. Sometimes it was just nice to throw a big fucking ball down at some pins like you had some super physical strength or something. And, in between shots, he could go eat the nachos on the table behind his lanes and check to make sure his phone hadn't been swiped by some bloke with greasy hands. Look, he was a little wary of that one getting ruined too. It was worth more than his fucking life (and maybe he was hoping for a call from his mum about this weekend; he'd gotten nothing yet).
Stepping up to the lanes, Nathan gave the ball a little lick (it was like a good luck gesture) and gave it a toss down the line. Ten pins up, seven down and Nathan was calling that a victory. That meant more nachos before taking his next shot.
[And yes, open here! I'm just entertaining myself and it's cold.]

Don't worry, she left the stupid peppers for him.

"Whoa, where'd you come from?" he asked, leaving his second shot alone for a moment. "Did I like put up a Caroline signal in the sky? Or am I just that magnetic that you follow the aura?"
no subject
"Also I was in town and you're a lot louder than you think you are when you talk to yourself." And you know, super hearing and stuff.

He walked over to his table and watched his nachos disappear. "You're eating all my food."
That would totally make her stop, he was sure.

To illustrate that, Nathan put one of those shoes up on the table and smirked. "And what sport encourage you to eat and drink and burp and dance? This is a perfectly good use of my time so what are you talking about?"

"What're you doing?" There wasn't anything especially incriminating in his phone but who knew what she'd find and assume. "Playing Tetris?"

Of course, Nathan expected her to be a stubborn ass about this but he thought it was a fair trade! She looked in his phone and he looked in hers.

He did not.

"So what, I can't give some random a call and tell him you think he's a dick and you're deleting his number?" Nathan wondered if that sounded familiar to her at all.

"Those one night stands could have turned into friends at some point later in my life," Nathan said, already starting to nose around in her phone. The contacts list, of course, was gonna be the first thing.
"Wooooooooow." Was that tone appropriately impressed by the sheer amount of numbers in there. "And here I thought I was universally popular and well liked. I feel like I'm missing out on a golden opportunity to get to know these people!"

Man, there were a lot of blokes in this phone. Nathan was almost itching to call one of them. His fingers were close to twitching.

"Well, you've only been fucking me for a few days now so I think you're doing all right that," he joked, smirking up at her. "Anyone interesting in this phone I should hear about?"
If they were interesting enough, maybe he'd send them a message.

He paged through her phone idly, recognizing a few of the names just from conversations with Caroline but they were few and far between. "I know a little about your two girlfriends, one of which you think might make me cry so let's even that out with the blokes."
no subject
Still, she didn't know if Nathan would get jealous to know she was still friends with guys she'd slept with. Or guys she'd wanted to sleep with, oops? "So pick a name and I'll give you the juicy details. Just remember you asked."
no subject
"Tyler." He'd heard that name before in reference to the bloke's arms so why not find out a little more? "And please, spare no details. Acquiring new knowledge is why I get up every morning. It's the absolute best thing I can put into my body."
no subject
"Tyler Lockwood. Now that is a good choice. He's the former mayor's son. Former because his dad died in this super tragic fire during the this big town Founder's Day celebration. He was actually the one driving that night when we got in that car accident that nearly killed me." Sad memory, that.
"But Tyler is like, a big time football player, wrestler, jock guy. Really nasty temper but quick to burn out. I'm sure you'd like him." Right.
