Mary felt like pulling her hair out in frustration. Someone had called for a meeting of Montecito Resorts stockholders but insisted that everyone participate on a conference call instead of meeting in person. There was a detailed operations plan that had to be approved by the stockholders and instead of sending out copies, the meeting leader had decided to read all 10 pages over the conference call. People were interjecting at different points so it was taking forever to get through a single reading. Mary put the call on speakerphone so she could at least get some work done in the background. Still, it seemed like a completely waste of time and she wondered if she could persuade Cooper that meetings by phone were not very effective.
