Devil's Nest [Sunday night]

The Devil's Nest generally wasn't open on Sundays but this being a special occasion weekend (and Eric being a little busy sleeping to have caught the brunch), he decided to open the club up tonight anyway.

The DJ wasn't on duty, but Eric had unearthed a jukebox from ~~Bubba~~ somewhere, and while the music was a little Elvis Presley-centric, it was very danceable all the same.

Drop in for a drink before you head for your home dimensions!

Sookie had mostly skipped the drinking last night, leaving that to Bobby (and then mercilessly mocking him this morning), but it was their last night on this mini vacation. So she made sure to order something huge and pink and fruity, and definitely full of rum.

Don't step on his blue suede shoes, okay?

Where Eric is lurking.

Sookie wandered over, drink in hand and eyebrow raised. "Nevada's just running itself at the moment?"

"Into the ground, no doubt," Eric said, grinning. "Hello, Sookie. Have you left your husband for me yet?"

Yeah, no.

"Yes, after almost twenty-five years, I've finally come around," she said with a nod. "But only if you promise to stop counting my wrinkles and looking for silver hairs."

"Only if you rename the children after me," Eric replied.

"Charlotte and Henry continue to be better names than Erica and Eric," she said, shaking her head.

"Erica and Eric are easier to remember," Eric said. "I would also settle for Billy and Meatball."

This conversation was practically ritual at this point.

"I ran that by Bobby, and he doesn't like those or your suggestion of Bork and Bork-Bork, either," she replied.

That was a lie. Bobby had actually really liked the second one, though possibly not as names for their already-born kids.

Eric sighed heavily, a clear affectation. "Your husband is an unreasonable man," he declared.

"Terribly so," Sookie agreed. "I made such a mistake marrying him and being happy for the last fifteen years. You're right."

"I knew you'd come around eventually," Eric said, smirking.

Sookie made a face at him. "Aren't there enough blondes in all of Nevada and Louisiana and Arkansas for you?

"You're still my favorite," Eric said. "Don't tell Pam."

"I have little interest in being killed out of jealousy, so that won't be a problem," she said dryly.

"I gave her Louisiana to rule," Eric said airily, "she's fine."

"My house better still be there," Sookie said warningly.

"I've left specific instructions," Eric said.

"And the rest of Bon Temps, too," she added for good measure.

Eric looked put upon. "Even the people I don't like?"
