Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night

Emma was still a bit distracted when she made her way into work, to the point she was almost late. She wasn't, but it was a near thing.

The fact she couldn't remember most of her weekend was driving her insane. There were flashes, bits, and pieces, but nothing that made sense. Still, the Devil's Nest was open, and it would provide a good enough distraction for her tonight.

"You know, I kind of had to come see this for myself," Rose said, smirking a bit as she saw Emma doing her job-thing.

"See what? Someone fabulous?" Emma asked, completely innocently. "I know you travel in limited circles, Rosebud, but there are awesome people out there. I promise."

"So I've heard, but I've always hoped to see for myself," she retorted, rolling her eyes. "Too bad that's not going to happen tonight."

"True, we only allow amazing people in here," she quipped. "Will that do for now?"

"I suppose I can deal with it," Rose decided. "Just for tonight though." She grinned over at Emma, way too happy to see her.

"Just for tonight?" Emma asked, looking disappointed. "Does this mean you aren't going to be a permanent fixture at the club?"

"It was looking that way for a while," she admitted. "Apparently Fandom's a good hide out spot."

Not that that is a surprise.

"Fandom is an excellent hide out spot," she agreed, raising an eyebrow. "But that brings up the question of what you're hiding from."

Rose wasn't exactly known for, well, retreating from anything.

"Some people might think I killed the Queen," Rose said innocently.

Yup, just a few people like the entire society.

"And I take it that it is a 'might think' that wouldn't take the testimony of an expert telepath that no, you didn't," Emma sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. It wasn't even a question to her mind, she didn't need to read Rose.

"How many people did you yell at and/or insult this time?"

That wasn't really a question, either.

"... I don't think they'll go for it, but I'm so going to suggest it now," Rose replied, smirking a bit at the expert telepath part. She shrugged. "Mostly the queen. Before she died. Yeah, I know, probably wasn't the best idea."

"You just want me in a spot to be able to make them quack like a duck whenever I like," she replied absently. "Life would be easier if you thought before speaking, but then you wouldn't be half as fun."

"Wouldn't be as awesome either," she retorted. "She deserved it, and I'd do it again. But, hey, now I get to be on the lam. YOu know, it's more fun than it sounds." Liar.

"Liar liar pants on fire," Emma retorted. "I'd buy you a drink, but Eric insists that you be 21."

"So you're stuck here for the duration?"

"I've got an id that says I am," Rose offered hopefully. "Especially since we should so celebrate that I talked my, uh, chaperon into going to deal with another thing in New Orleans."

"But I know better," she pointed out. "Instead, I'll take you out to Caritas sometime, and you can fill me in on how you ditched a chaperone, or got here at all."

"Explosives. I met my dad? Turns out he's a Russian mobster," she said, unable not to grin because seriously. "And he's good at prison breaks." She glanced over at Emma. "Want to see?"

Because asking before pushing memories on people was the classy way to do it.

"You would have a Russian mobster for a parent. No wonder you're such a heathen," Emma complained, but she offered her hand to Rose obligingly. She didn't need the physical contact, but it made it easier for both of them.

[I fell asleeps on the laptop, so I cannot mock.]

"Oh please, heathen? Really? What a boring insult," she shot back, a little amused. She reached for Emma's hand, feeling a little badly about doing it this way, but she really wasn't excited about hearing the 'are you sure he's not Strigoi?' yet again.

Careful not to swamp Emma, she showed Abe and his insane scarves & earrings in Russia, Lissa changing Dimitri back, the resulting hearings, yelling at the Queen due to the age decree, and being arrested for murder in the coffee shop then Abe, Eddie, Mikhail, and Dimitri blowing up the stupid statue and breaking her out.

Where Tiny pours the drinks for those of age!

Eric was in his usual spot, writing back and forth to Pam, who was laughing her little vampire ass off at the idea of ruling Louisiana.

"What do you mean, you're too good for it?" Eric muttered as he typed on his phone.
