It just felt like a good day to chill and not do anything stressful, so Shelley pulled a chair over next to a low table of clearance sweaters and propped her feet up, sipped a fruity cocktail she had made from the goodies under the counter, and proceeded to work her way through a stack of fashion magazines.

"Love that," she said, flipping a page. "Oh, really love that." Flip. "Love LOVE that." Flip. "Holy cow, freaking love that." Flip...

No finals till Friday meant Caroline was due for a study break, aka shopping! She poked at a few of the sweaters on clearance, wondering if the island ever suffered summer cold snaps before getting a little distracted by the chatter at the counter and glancing that way. And then walking that way. Shh, she was easily drawn in.

"Okay, it's probably totally rude to eavesdrop but I kind of have to know what you're loving because if it's super hot, I might look good in it too and I'm missing my girls who usually help me with these things." Priorities, she had them.

"It's Proenza Schouler's new line for spring. Some of the cuts are a little more masculine than what I normally go for, but my god, look at this!" She pushed the magazine across the counter, pointing to a picture of a model (http://www.harpersbazaar.com/cm/harpersbazaar/images/hbz-jason-wu-trend-twist-de-de-51010003.jpg) in a purple top and skirt.

"I mean, don't you just love it? Love. Like I would totally knock her down and strip her naked if she walked through these doors right now." There was a shocking level of sincerity to Shelley's voice.

Caroline's eyes grew wide at the picture. "Oh my God, shut up, I'm in love! Tell me there's more." Oh how she'd missed fashion. "I'll promise not to start a catfight over any of it if you tell me the store carries the line. Or at least, I won't smash your face in if I do."

Shelley sighed. "I'm totally going to have to see if we can't get their stuff in the store." She flipped the page and gasped. "And Oscar de la Renta." She fingered the page and the light pink suit featured on it.

"I would totally understand if you wanted to smash my face in over this one," she said. "I would smash my own face for it." Probably not, but fashion discussions required bold statements.

"But then you wouldn't be pretty enough to wear it," Caroline pointed out helpfully. "No, I'd give you the pink. I'm feeling a little too punk for it these days."

"Oh my god, is punk making a come back?" Shelley was at a loss as to how she wasn't aware of this. "I've been wanting to add some pink highlights, but was thinking the block color looked was kind of out like grunge, but if punk is back, I could totally rock some bold streaks."

"Shut your mouth, do not destroy your hair!" Caroline said, putting a stop to that line of thinking immediately. "You are far too cute and blonde to try and look like some stoner just to get attention. Please, that would just be sad."

Shelley blinked a few times, letting what was just said sink in. "You're so right," she agreed, shaking her head. "What the hell am I thinking? I mean, really, what the hell?"

She stood up. "I have awesome hair." She tossed it. "And it's all mine. There are no extensions up in the shiz."

"Seriously?" Caroline was a little jealous of the sheer volume. "You must use some amazing product. I admit, I'm turning green comparing curls." Not that Caroline's iron-induced waves weren't great, they just took a lot of effort.

"Please, your hair is totally gorgeous and you know it," Shelley responded, giving her an appraising look.

Caroline couldn't help giving her hair a little glance in a reflective surface. "It's good today, right? Oh God, I sound about as deep as a kiddie pool. But hey, there's nothing wrong with knowing your attractive when you actually are, right?"

"Absolutely not," Shelley agreed. "Beauty isn't only skin deep, but if it is, that's just fine too."

It made perfect sense to her.

"Speaking of skin," Caroline said, taking the segue and running with it. "And the coverings for it, I am in dire need. I uh, ruined this guy's dress shirt last week and I kind of promised a replacement, only he's a giant and I don't know where to buy giant clothes." Jake would probably be thrilled to hear she was referring to him as a giant.

"As in an actual giant?" Shelley seemed unfazed by the thought, a sure sign she had been in Fandom a good while now.

Her mind was running with the thought though. "My god, have you seen his penis? Is it like huge?" And that's where her mind went?

"Um," Caroline looked to the right, smirking a little as she tried to put this in words that weren't totally offensive. "I'd say it's proportional in a really enticing way. Oh, but he's not like, a Jack and the Beanstalk style giant. Just like, nearly seven feet tall sort of giant."

"Oh, well still..." She just nodded in approval. God, she was horny.

"We have some pretty nice guys dress shirts. I haven't really checked all their sizes, but there's got to be something that would fit. What's his style?"

How did she explain that she'd seen him without shirts more often than she'd seen him in them? "Well, he's kind of a simple dresser, I guess. You know, the 'I'm too good for your fashion' t-shirt and jeans combo that makes me think he's probably seen pictures of male models doing the same and I should be on the watch for odd-colored flip flops."

"Well, in my experience, men like women who complement them on their clothing choices, so what is going to make you want to tell him he looks good?" Shelley takes the logical approach.

"When he's shirtless," she said automatically. "No, seriously, if you saw him, you'd say the same thing, um, not that he needs anyone telling this to his face. But I guess just a really basic formal dress shirt is what I owe him." Anything else would probably be weird, right?

"We've got plenty of those," Shelley hoped. Honestly, she had never really ventured over into the men's formal dress shirt area. The lack of it being something she would wear just kind of turned that entire section into a nonentity.

"How did you ruin his shirt?" Please let it be a kinky and awesome story.

Caroline really needed not to not look so excited to share a hint of the story. But come on, it was required. "He saved me from being all drunk and disorderly, right? So, I thought it was a good idea to just rip the shirt right off of him when we got back to his room. Popped almost all the buttons. It was totally hot."

Well.

"Up until he gasped and acted like I'd totaled his car."

"What was it, like Armani?" Because if it was some JC Penny special, this giant's hotness level was about to take a drastic nose-dive.

"Like I know. It was nice enough, but I think he'd never really been around a girl willing to ruin his clothes to get at his chest. Have you ever had that happen to you?" Because it would be nice to know she wasn't alone here.

"I did a photo shoot once where it was supposed to look like I had just ripped a guy's shirt off, but it was all shredded and ripped beforehand," she explained. "Though, I mean, I've had plenty of shirts ripped off to get at this puppies," she grabbed her boobs and gave them a little squeeze.

They were awfully enviable puppies. Caroline glanced down at her own chest with dismay. "You were in photo shoots? Like as a model? That is so cool! Who did you wear?"

"There were a bunch of guys, and some girls, but I didn't so much as wear them as, you know, ride or lay on top of or..." What was the right word? "Sometimes just kind of tangle up with."

She missed those photo shoots. "But mostly, I did solo work."

Oh, now that was just different and totally not what Caroline had expected. "So like, you did...erotic shoots?" Holy cow!

"I was a Playboy Bunny," she replied, beaming.

"Oh my God!" And now she had to give Shelley another once over. "I can so see it!" Totally the boobs. "Were you a pornstar?"

"Oh, nononononononono, no." Shelley shook her head. "I'm comfortable with my body and all its parts and functions, but I think you lose a little something when you start doing full on porn. I mean, a guy is going to see these in all their glory and want to know what they'll feel like, you know, like in hishands." She gave her boobs another squeeze. "If he's watching some other guy manhandle them, well then they're not so special. Right?"

She smiled at Caroline and added, "Besides, I'm way too noisy in the bedroom, and having that on film would just be embarrassing."

"Wow." Leave it to Shelley to get Caroline near speechless.

Not that it would last. "That actually makes sense. I mean the reason, not the noisy in bed part." Watch Caroline try to cover that by pulling out a shirt and holding it up to see if it looked giant enough to really be the size on the tag.

"You like watching noisy porn?" Shelley had no prejudice against it, just wasn't her style.

Because maybe you don't want to hear about how hot certain outfits would look on Shelley. Or you're intimated by how much cleavage she's currently showing. Or you're in a rush.

So, my new chiropractor is a freaking hottie and uses a very hands-on approach. Back pain from heaven?
