Caritas [Tuesday evening]

Tonight, Robin had a new obsession. No, it was not anything drink-related. How dare you suggest she actually do work at work? That was what Tino was for.

No, tonight Robin was leaning on the bar, her thumbs busily flicking across the screen every couple seconds. Occasionally, her efforts were punctuated with a, "Yes, finally." More often, though, there was a frustrated sigh heaved and an exclamation in the vein of, "STUPID GREEN PIGS WITH YOUR STUPID HELMETS."

"It doesn't even make sense," she added, after Tino kept staring at her for a particularly colorful outburst. "Why the hell would they want to take these birds' eggs? They have bombs. Dumb idea, green pigs. Dumb."

[...who, me, stuck on Angry Birds? Where?]

Isabela had given up her search of the beach once the light had started to fade from the sky. There were no washed up pieces of the Siren's Call, nor was there any sign of that stupid book.

Still, it wouldn't do to be caught outside and so she'd made it into town. It'd taken some careful slinking to avoid the city guards when she finally did find what looked like a tavern.

And there went another first impression, because rather than trying to impress, she was blinking up at the harsh lights. At least she managed not to do a crab walk around the band of corpses? "This dump better have hot food," she grumbled as she made it up to the bar, wondering if she was going to have to bargain with an abomination for it.

"You go right for the golden question, don't you?" Isabela remarked, there was some amusement there as far as she could manage.

With a sigh, she took a seat and rolled her stiff shoulders. She'd be feeling that for a while. At least the woman in front of her wasn't an abomination and she was going to take that as a win. "I think rough sums it up rather adequately. I don't suppose you could tell me what this place is named?"

"...what are you doing?" Fraser asked, having come up on the tail end of her spiel. "Eggs?"

Congratulations, Robin. That would be Isabela staring at you.

"I think I'm going to need more than one. Making it something strong," she finally said, because that was not a name she'd ever seen on her maps. "So is this like one of those new rebel kingdom things they declared yesterday?"

"Then, why are you playing with it and so engaged with it?" Fraser had to wondered, taking a seat. "Wouldn't the logical thing be to stop playing?"

"Not quite but if you'd like to drink, I can always do that," Fraser said, chuckling. "With the semester over, I just didn't have to stay around the school until it closed so I thought I might pay you a visit to see how things were."

"Normal," Isabela repeated with a wry grin and she was going to finish the drink in one go there. It burned pleasantly and felt so much better than all that seawater she'd been hacking up.

She placed the glass on the counter. "So you're going to tell me you've never heard of Thedas or Orlais. Kirkwall maybe? We were nearing the Wounded Coast."

"Perhaps but they're usually regulated to the dormitories so I leave that sort of thing to the principal and vice principal," Fraser said, smiling. "From what I've heard, the students are fairly well behaved. I haven't heard of any streakers as of late."

Isabela laughed and leaned forward, deciding to concentrate on what she did know as she let that filter through. Not that half of what she was saying made any sense.

"And I do so love a woman who knows to keep pouring," she smirked and reached for the glass, pacing herself a little more this time. "So this hub, have there been any Qunari to visit it recently? Big burly guys, grey skin, white hair and horns on their heads? They're really good at scowling."

"Why are you trying to encourage bad behavior in the students?" Fraser wondered. "You're such a bad influence. The dogs agree with me on that."
