The Preserve: After Classes Monday [5-9-11]

After classes, Mercy headed out to the Preserve to meet Blysse and Blind Seer. She'd brought hot chocolate for herself and Blysse and had managed to talk the burger guy into just giving her a few raw patties for Blind Seer.

She was a little nervous, but also very interested to know more about the two of them.

[ooc: For the two she's meeting and NFB, please!]

In the small clearing they'd agreed upon waited the two wolves.

"So," Firekeeper said. "You wish to talk?" Some people might start with 'how are you?' or other such pleasantries. Firekeeper was not some people.

"Chocolate is always good," Firekeeper admitted with a smile, accepting the drink. Blind Seer's ears twitched, and Firekeeper offered a translation, since not-entirely-human scent or not, she wasn't sure if Mercy would understand the speech of Beasts: "And he say thank you, for he is very hungry," and then, with affection: "Though that is always so, it seems."

Well, they managed to be allies and perhaps even friends with a great cat, so next to that, being friendly to a coyote was certainly no hardship.

"But you are not werewolf," Firekeeper said, sipping at her drink as Blind Seer snapped up the meat patties. "Though your smell is not human either." Firekeeper's own scent, for the record, was more wolfish than anyone wearing a human shape's ought to be.

"I am not such," Firekeeper admitted. "There were a time when I wished this were so, but..." she made a face. "The magic that would make this possible in my world is wicked and cruel. So I have come to accept I have a wolf's heart in a human shape. This is enough."

Blind Seer regarded her thoughtfully before dropping his jaw in a wolfish version of a grin. I have no quarrel with coyotes, he said with a casual swish of his tail. And it would be nice to have someone else to run with, besides.

[ooc: totally up to you on whether or not she'd understand him!]

"People here do not mind such things so much," Firekeeper said with a shrug. "But also, like I say, I have ways to make squirrels not wish to tell things," she grinned fiercely. A well placed snarl or two that she'd never actually had to follow through on did very well for such things.

[ooc: sorry for the long delay. RL happened O_o]
