Inspired by his pleasantly surprising success in yesterday's class (how could one not take pride in being the best at not dying for the day?), Alexander decided that today was the day he would finally fix up that shelf toward the back of the store. Several of the shelves, it seemed, had fallen under the weight of its own pretentiousness as it held a collection of very old and obscure books that no one had ever heard of and most people only considered buying merely because they looked impressive.

If they should fall again after Alexander had fixed them, he was certainly not above threatening the shelf with the prospect of removing all those antique hardcovers and filling them up with all those used paperback romance novels still boxed up in the back.

There's a sign on the counter with a little bell, alerting any customers that he was working on something toward the back of the store; should they need service, just give it a little ring or come back and see him!
