The Devil's Nest, Saturday Evening
If the girl behind the bar was looking a whole lot cheerier her second night on the job, there were several reasons for that. Only two of them were attached to a pirate, so you can just stop smirking. At least one -- the one where she wasn't starving anymore, and in fact was barely starting to feel like she needed a re-charge, a week later -- belonged to a certain Irish vampire.
Whatever the list of causes, the effect was a bartender in a black leather skirt who occasionally hummed along with the DJ's rather bouncy dance choices for tonight, instead of thinking she could do both herself and the world a favor by adding him to the evening's menu.
[OCD on ze way!]

The Bar [5/14]
Not that friendly, Halldór. Keep your pike to yourself.
Re: The Bar [5/14]
She rested her elbows on the counter and leaned forward to better appreciate the view. "My, but I was right about the view being good here."
Re: The Bar [5/14]
"What's your pleasure?" she asked, spreading a hand out towards the array of bottles.
Re: The Bar [5/14]
"That skirt of yours, actually," she replied, because there was no such thing as shame when it came to her. "But I'll settle for that. I believe Tiny called it whiskey." She pointed towards one of the bottles. "For now, anyway."
Re: The Bar [5/14]
And other probably unhelpful English questions, yes.
Re: The Bar [5/14]
"And it gets the job more than done. Trust me."
Re: The Bar [5/14]
Meanwhile she went for big glass, no ice, because Isabela did not seem like a shots kind of woman. She seemed like the kind of woman who'd throw back a tumbler as if it was a shot.
Re: The Bar [5/14]
Isabela chuckled at the question. "You don't want to see some of the places I've been, sweet thing," she assured her. "What's it like your world?"

So it was a curious little Victorian stepping in and giving the place and the crowd a curious look before sliding onto a stool at the bar.
Re: The Bar [5/14]
"Hi there. What can I get for you?"
Re: The Bar [5/14]
Re: The Bar [5/14]
She smiled, though, and instead suggested, "Well, I do know how to make a drink called Hell's Angel."
Re: The Bar [5/14]
Re: The Bar [5/14]
Bo added a paper umbrella. It was the kind of drink that deserved one, and she had the feeling this was the kind of lady who'd appreciate one. Unlike the last Viking she'd tried that on, who'd sniffed, bit it, them spit it out with a dissatisfied growl.
"One Hell's Angel. You might want to drink it slow; it's a little stronger than it tastes."
Re: The Bar [5/14]
"Oh, but I do love these little paper umbrellas," she had to admit. "Not very practical against the rain, though, I should have to say. They're barely even big enough for our little squirrel friends here on island, but what I wouldn't give to have one of them toting one around over its shoulder. I imagine she'd look quite proper then, wouldn't she, maybe some nice little gloves."
Terribly amused by the idea, she was smiling when she took a sip.
"Oh, goodness, yes, now that'll do the trick quite well, now won't it?"
Just what she needed after all that bloody paperwork.

Re: VIP Section [5/14]
"So I take it that when Jessica said you were both vampires, it wasn't just Screw With The New Girl Day?"

Mmm, tasty.
Re: VIP Section [5/14]
Bo... you should probably re-think that answer, considering who you're talking to. No?
