When Butters had told Miss Rikku that he was real good at fixing things, he hadn't been entirely truthful. What would have been truthful would be him saying that he was good at playing at fixing things.
Unfortunately, Butters really didn't see the difference in those two statements.
He did know that he was excited for his first day at work, a nice real job so he could start earning some money and being all responsible and everything. And he'd sure love to help people fix things, too! In the meantime, he was going to settle in with fiddling with a toaster, working on adding wheels to it and making a really cool toaster car, and singing as he did so.
"Loo loo loo, I've got some apples,
Loo loo loo, you've got some, too.
Loo loo loo, makin' a toaster car
So we can go real fast and have breakfast, too!"
