In a refreshing change from the last few weeks, Kate was actually at work today. And she totally had not considered skipping again just to keep hiding from people. Because she totally hadn't spent the last two days she'd been on the island cooped up in her alcove. Nope.

... Look, it was still better than her reaction to everything last Monday. At least she was around, and at work. Not that she was working, unless looking at photos of her and Bod's room at Charmaine's house on her phone counted.

The scowling box office guy didn't think it did.

She wouldn't have to pry her attention away from the phone but she would have to look away from the pictures because Bod was sending her a text message.

And he'd explain that as a good thing once he told her why he wasn't on the island.

Kate could deal with a text message. Especially one that made her snort once she read it.

Well, I would have hoped for a round of applause but I don't think I'm going to get that.

It was nice where Bod was and he was standing outside of what he'd just checked out while he sent her messages.

Which was a good way to get Kate inrigued, as if she hadn't already been. But, she could be all Kate about it.

well, this is going to get pointless fast if you don't.

Bod knew her well enough by now to know that she'd be curious and she'd try not to show it. Instead of playing along, Bod actually took a picture of himself.

He was wearing sunglasses and was clearly outside. Behind him was a backdrop of blue sky and acres and acres of forest. Wherever he was looked very serene and calm. He sent the picture.

Any guesses where I am?

For a moment, Kate forgot to look at the background just because she was a bit busy smiling at his face. She didn't have too specific a guess, anyway.

Though that wasn't hard when she was at work in a customerless cinema.

That was honest, at least. He'd definitely prefer it but, if things went his way, she'd join him in the future. It took Bod a few minutes to reply but that's because he'd moved.

The next picture she'd get, she'd see his feet (clad in flip flops) and past his feet would be quite the gorgeous view. Bod had taken a seat in one of the lounge chairs hence the view of his feet.

Anymore guesses?

Kate raised her eyebrows at the view, because... it was a really nice view.

Yes, he felt the need to defend his paleness. Besides, he knew she liked that paleness of his considering she tried to get him naked more often than not.

Bod sent another picture for her. No more feet but something else that she'd probably recognize: a hot tub.

It's not heaven but it might be very close. I was scouting out places to have a date.

Bod sent a picture of where he actually was. He thought it was unique and adorable.

I'm in Tennessee specifically. I've thought about renting this particular cabin for whenever you'd like.

Laughing at her messages, Bod made sure to send a bundle of other pictures so she could take a look at what else was inside the cabin.

The last picture Bod sent was of his smiling face (minus the sunglasses since he was inside) while he was laying on one of the beds.

It sounds like you like it. That made Bod smile since he was still getting the hang of finding things they'd both enjoy since their tastes ran differently in certain areas.

It probably also helped she was willing to broaden her horizons when she knew she got to do it with him, but she was also more than partial to romantic and/or luxurious vacation spots.

She even sent back a photo of herself blowing a kiss towards the camera.

That picture made Bod laugh and he kept looking at it as he got off the bed and headed outside again.

well that pretty much leaves thu to early fri, or wed after work to thu.

I can miss work. He'd missed it last week and nothing had exploded. We could do it during a weekend, any weekend. I think I've been responsible enough to miss work every so often. We can do whenever you'd like.

Bod was leaning against the outside of the cabin now, enjoying the sunny day.

He sent that back and didn't even notice the grin on his face her nickname caused.

Kate imagined it was a lot like hers.
