Raven was very happy not to be a pony anymore.
She was a bit unhappy, however, that Jono was likely leaving the island today. But she was determined not to mope (much) about it. Instead, she had her attention on a new book she'd gotten that morning. She'd read the previous books in the series, and while the violence distressed her, the depiction of the strong emotions and the relationships of the characters were very intriguing.
She hadn't shrieked and thrown the book across the store. Yet.Give it time, it's GRRM.
