The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

Jessica was elated not to be a pony anymore, and she'd celebrated by glamoring a regency lady she'd run into on the way to the Devil's Nest and having a few sips of her blood, just enough to take the edge off her cravings. "You go find someplace to sit down for awhile," she said when she was done. "And drink lots of water. And don't lift anything heavy for awhile, OK?"

See, she was a responsible vampire. Sort of.

Hercules was starting to like this place. He arrived dressed up a bit, now wearing leather pants and a dress shirt in place of the more causal wear he'd worn his previous visit.

He still, however, hadn't replaced his fake ID that read 'Victor Tegler'.

So instead, he was hoping his charm would work.

He walked up and grinned at the lady and held out his ID.

"I hope you are feeling kind, today," he said.

Jessica squinted at the ID, then looked back at Hercules. She didn't think it was real, but he certainly looked legal.

"I'm always nice to people who deserve it," she said. "What kind of kindness are you lookin' for?"

"A simple... oversight of the shortcomings of my ID," he said. "I assure you, I'm old enough to imbibe. I'm probably old enough to be the proprietor's father."

Jessica had to laugh at that. "I don't know about that," she said. "Eric's real old. Like over a thousand years old."

"Ah, but so am I," Hercules semi-bragged. "After all, I am Hercules."

He hoped that sounded impressive.

"As in the Hercules."

"...like in that Disney movie?" Jessica had to ask.

"They took some liberties," Hercules said with a chuckle. "As you can see, I am much better looking. And less cartoony."

Just more... comical.

Baddum-bum.

"I saw it at a friend's house on account of my parents not lettin' me go see a film about heathen gods," Jessica said. "Did you really do all that stuff in the movie?"

"Well, the labors, of course," Hercules said. "I never had to stop Hades from siding with the titans on anything. He was never that stupid as to trust a titan."

He paused, reflective for a moment. "And it was a very different way that I met Megara."

"You didn't save her from a centaur or somethin'?" Jessica asked curiously. "Or freaky little ponies?"

Someone totally wasn't traumatized at her transformation.

"Were you cursed with ponydom, too?" Hercules asked. "I had been so embarrassed I did not leave my apartment! And it takes much to embarrass me. But it was the hoarsest I'd ever felt in my life!"

He laughed at his pun.

"I was pink," Jessica said, wrinkling her nose. "And I was still a vampire."

"...could you only drink the blood of other ponies?" Hercules asked, a bit familiar with good vampires. He assumed that Jessica was the sort. She certainly seemed nice.

"I didn't try to," Jessica said, making a face. "Horse blood probably tastes gross." Well, she assumed it would; she'd never tried it.
